Zuramama Edeas and other brands of skates tie differently. I'm guessing you have the Jackson soft skate? I used to tie my Jacksons this way and I ended up having to get out of the rink with my coach who tied it tight around the ankle. Also, wear around the bend point is natural.
I used to use ridelle but now am using edea because I have narrow feet but flat feet any warnings that I should know before I move from ridelle to edea?
At the local skate store. I live in the Netherlands and we only have a handful of stores that actually sell skates here, so I was happy enough to find one that actually had figure skates. Most only have hockey/speed skates. I am no longer in the motivo's though, I took a little trip and got fitted for ouvertures since I progressed quite a bit since I made this post.
Hi edea, when I was playing roller hockey, at the beginning I didn't tie my skates tight enough so now if I don't tie tight towards the ankle, my right foot will always be on an inside edge. Is there any way you could tie tight in the center and the top and the boot not get deformed? I have riedells right now and it seems to work on those but I'm not sure on edeas. Let me know when you have an answer, thanks!
Just got new skates, Edea Chorus. Love them to pieces, 1 problem. When I lace them like that with the soft tight soft as shown i can barely make a 10 minute mark before my feet go cramping so badly i've got to take them off. Do I tie them to tight at the instep of my foot? (hope that is the right word for it, google says so....) Cause that's where the cramp is located. Hope you can help.
Forget cheap synthetic Edeas. Get real leather Riedell or Harlicks. Edea says lightweight makes you jump higher and go faster but skaters nowdays dont even get as much height as Midori and Tonya did who wore old heavy leather boots. This new lightweight thing is a scam.

My Edea boots (Motivo) deform between the bottom and middle hook when I lace like this. What am I doing wrong?

I prefer to have my skates tight through out the whole boot and I lace the ladders from the bottom.
Edeas are very loose around the ankle and of you get even a slightly wrong size, your feet will hurt like hell.

I had the same issue! I find that really locking your heel into the boot and keeping the entire skate snug really helps.
Boots that are cramped for the feet can cause cramps. The size may not be right.
What’s this size?
Is it bad to walk around in a new skate boot that has no blade on it yet?
Walk on carpet to help break them in.
