This song is perfect in every words, makes me relaxing and depressed at the same time. I’m greatly impressed by how they put the story behind the lyrics, I took a while to understand what they are actually telling us. The song is about a man wonder if his girlfriend truly loves him or just staying by him side for something else. He always thinks about that and goes on to explore her “own small world” to understand her more. At first, he hesitates because he ‘s afraid she pretending to love him is true. Just with these four lines, I feel how passionate he loves her and his desire to be loved. Moreover, once again, I’m freaking surprised at the exceptional delicacy of Chase Atlantic. They were the early of their 20s when composing this song. “running in the moonlight” “dancing in the open waves” kinda imply that the way she behaves when staying with him, not her true emotions. “Dive in ocean” part might be indicate he figures out what she wants. I’m not sure she falls in love with him, but he begs her “show me the way” many times. Perhaps his love for her is so genuine that though she might not love him, he still believes he could change the situation. But I don’t understand the part “fall down again... you’re all out again” “fall for the third time, the nature of it all” please let me know your thinking. * Thanks for reading my comment, and sorry as well, my English is not good enough to express.
Busy on the weekend Caught up in your own small world Well, I might wanna see it then Call it hesitation, girl We're running in the moonlight We're dancing in the open waves You're hangin' for a good time Something that'll make you stay And girl, you fall down again You tell me you're all out again We're running in the moonlight Could you show me the way again? Oh, oh, oh You're talking in and out of the subject Just call me when you're finished, are you done yet, girl? You're falling in and out through a sunset And I just wanna know if you're in love yet girl She just wants to talk through the daytime And I just want it all when the time's right Yeah, she's about to fall for the third time The nature of it all Busy on the weekend Caught up in your own small world Well, I might wanna see it then Call it hesitation, girl We're running in the moonlight We're dancing in the open waves You're hangin' for a good time Something that'll make you stay And girl, you fall down again You tell me you're all out again We're running in the moonlight Could you show me the way again? Oh, oh, oh We're diving through the bottom of the ocean Swimming through a bottle of emotions, girl Maybe I was thinking you would notice I was runnin' through the forest when I wrote this, girl And she just wants to talk through the daytime And I just want it all when the time's right Yeah, she's about to fall for the third time The nature of it all Busy on the weekend Caught up in your own small world Well, I might wanna see it then Call it hesitation, girl We're running in the moonlight We're dancing in the open waves You're hangin' for a good time Something that'll make you stay And girl, you fall down again You tell me you're all out again We're running in the moonlight Could you show me the way again? Busy on the weekend
Caught up in your own small world
Well, I might wanna see it then
Call it hesitation, girl
We're running in the moonlight
We're dancing in the open waves
You're hangin' for a good time
Something that'll make you stay
And girl, you fall down again
You tell me you're all out again
We're running in the moonlight
Could you show me the way again?
