Sorry if this has been asked already but is the antenna cable needed for beach detecting? New to metal detecting and headed to the beach this weekend.

Only if you put the coil underwater. If you stay on the wet and dry sand you will be fine.

How Did you set you tracking & magnetic sand settings please?

I very seldom (hardly ever) use tracking and I don't have any experience in magnetic sand sorry.

Japanese 5 yen...Have found a few of those the 500 and 100 are a lot better
Nice ring :)) Got my Deus on the way,and have a new manticore along with Legend, starting new after many years with the CZ-21 and fisher pulse in the early years, will get watching you for more info, I will let you know too what I think with all three.

Scott, what are the zip ties for, on your scoop? Did you add wire mess to make some holes smaller?

My friend Allen fabricated small section to have smaller holes so I wouldn't lose ear rings and small jewelry. I zip tied it in place.

I have one of the Extreme scoops. Extremescoops.com they are expensive, but they will never break.
