I was gonna say, just contact them cuz there CS is major top notch. They sent me brand new palette for Gemini right away and one other little thing and tbh I can't even remember what it was but they insisted on sending me brand new stuff right away. I'm glad you got a new palette. But it doesn't surprise me they are resending a new palette.
dunno if you guys gives a shit but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times you can watch all the new movies and series on Instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my brother recently xD
They're going to be closed until at least mid-May, if not longer, depending on what Governor Newsom or Mayor Garcetti dictate. I personally would be grateful to have gotten the palette, but that's just me... Palettes aren't designed to fold back like that, either...

I’m getting a bit of weed fatigue with Melt. I love the colours but it’s like you said, how many can you possibly create? I wonder if the packaging is suffering due to them trying to keep up with the demand of being in Sephora. I know Sephora makes brands have a certain amount of releases if they want to stay in-store and Melt’s releases used to be a lot more staggered when they were just online. I’m just speculating here but it makes you wonder. I love this look you did today! The greens always suit you. 😘💚
I never thought of it like that. I was surprised that theyve had so many launches because before they were at Sephora they were spaced out way more. It seems like a lot of bigger brands that are in retail settings are launching more products.
Being in Sephora gives them the financial backing to create more products & at higher quantities, so price per unit typically goes down. They're also able to ship directly to Sephora's warehouses, so that also contributes to being able to have more products, as their warehouse isn't overcrowded. The ability to utilize Sephora's warehouses also affords Melt Cosmetics to utilize Sephora's labor & shipping, freeing up capital to create. I personally don't mind the amount of different releases; my only issue is, if a brand is going to go out of their way to overhype a release, they need to have the means to make it more available...
I was waiting for a video like this for comparisions with the new palette and gemini, i didn't expect similarities with vida, but that was cool to know! I have vida, and i was debating between 420 and gemini, and i think i'll go for gemini next time i can afford a melt palette (and the green liner, that looks amazing! although i already have the green liner from amor eterno)
I feel like the campaign images made it look more like Gemini, I was surprised too! I really want the green one from that collection, its so beautfiul!
It’s a beautiful collection and I’m a Melt cosmetics fan but I do feel like it’s way too similar to Gemini that is the ONLY reason I passed on this palette I do want the gel liners!

Holey moley! I want that green gel liner! OMG! This came out so pretty. This pallet and the rust pallet look like expanded versions of the Gemini pallet.
This video was SOOO helpful Bre!!! Very well done:) While I’m not interested in the 420 palette I’m extremely interested in the colour comparisons within the brand! To me, nothing compares to my beloved Gemini palette but I’d be lying if I said i haven’t been side eyeing the 420 palette. The whole “weed” theme isn’t my bag. It sort of drives me away from the palette even tho I LIVE 4 GREEN💚 That Melt Wallflower gel liner is friggin everything tho & hopefully I’ll be able to snag that when I eventually place an order😊 I’m also interested in the Rust palette with the burnish gel liner and will definitely go for them once things get back to normal financially:)
Gemini is such an amazing palette!! I dont smoke so I understand. I love their quality though so it doesnt bother me! I really want to try the other green liner they have from the Amor Eterno collection and the mustard yellow one! I swear they always have the coolest colors!
I just got this palette and I’m not sure how I feel about it. By the end of the day my eyeshadow was SO faded (I use UD eyeshadow primer in eden) I feel like you have to use them over their eyeliners or a really sticky base

I am so glad you compare them. I feel like they have alot of repeats like muerte and smoke sessions. And to me this one looks like a mixture of gemini and rust. I so want muerte but I felt like the only colors I really needed was that mint matte shade, so I didn't buy it. Still trying to decide. Don't get me wrong I love melt, but dupe shades are no good. "Spliff" is like a joint or blunt. You inspired me to use green, I just got impulsive and it has some deep olive greens. I used norvina vol 3 a1 (chartreuse) to blend them out and a gold on the lid. I wasn't sure what to do with them until I started watching you. :)
No problem! I just checked between those two since I own them both and the only similar shades are Sweet Tooth in Smoke Sessions and Angelito in Muerte :) The rest are unique!
@@BreyonnaFaye I love that shade too. I have something similar but not exactly with the kaleidos turquoise palette. It's so pretty but a bit more blue to it. It's hard to buy a palette for like two shades but I do love that color story. Did you pick up the norvina 4? I couldn't help it. I love all those light shimmers.
Definitely let Melt know with pictures about the packaging so they can improve/ fix it. Gorgeous look! I really like the effect on the outer packaging. I don't bend my palettes for this exact reason because I'm scared they'll separate but you're right, it's a $58 palette so whether I don't and you do, it should not separate. Hopefully they can improve it. Does the brown liner have some green? It looked like a dark green on your eye. None of the shades look like Rubbish from Rust swatched out? I'm wondering if I should get the Four Twenty palette instead of Rust...
I was surprised it happened honestly! They have good customer service from my experience so crossing my fingers. It doesnt, its definitely a cool toned chocolate brown! I didnt think Rust was as close as the other two palettes were. It depends what you wear and like. Id go with four twenty if you want more variety and only get rust if you want neutrals.
Love this green look! I don't own the Gemini pallete and I was thinking on getting both but if you could give me some advice and tell me which pallete out of the Gemini or four twenty you prefer?
Happy you like it! I think it depends what colors you like. I dont think theres a difference with the formula between the two. Id probably go with Four Twenty since it gives you more color options with the yellow/bright green as well as the option of neutrals. Just keep in mind the packaging gave me issues!
So I'm not sure if anyone else has answered your question or not but a spliff is a joint (marijuana cigarette rolled with paper) that has tobacco sprinkled throughout. It gives an extra something to the joint, gives you a head rush that makes you feel like your floating basically lol

This was from awhile back! They saw the video and told me that you aren't supposed to bend the mirror part as far back as I do and also sent me a replacement which was super nice. I dont know if the average user would be pushing the mirror back like I did here, I know content creators do so you dont get the glare. Since I did this video, Ive used a good amount of their newer palettes and haven't had the issue since :)
I have the Vida palette and they sure do like similar. And I honestly wanted to get the four twenty but you just saved me $58 that can go to something else
I ordered the melt impulsive palette to try their formula before dropping so much cash on their more expensive palettes. I'm so excited! I like this color story, the Gemini color story, and the Rust color story all 🤔🙄.

It does look similar to the Gemini Palette. I was hoping that they would create a pallet that is similar to the Smoke Sessions Palette only with more minty green and Kelly green duochrome eyeshadows like smoke Sessions 2.0!!!
I love the look that you created! You are so talented! I don't think I will be getting this because I already own the Vida Palette and I just bought the Gemini Palette During the Sale 💚🥰💚🥰💚 I would definitely reach out to Melt Cosmetics because they are really good about refunds or replacements 💚💚💚
The palette is definitely not made to bend all the way back, regardless of if you’ve been doing it with all your other palettes. You can easily tell by its structure. I think you are really lucky that your other palettes haven’t broken and that Melt is so generous.
That type of packaging is called lenticular printing. Looks cool but that it might not be super durable. I love this palette, but the only melt palette I have is the impulsive palette. I like it a lot, but I feel like even that palette has similarities to this palette, particularly the greens. Would have to see this in person before I would get it. Love the final look.
Beautiful look. I love this palette so far. I did one look with the palette alone and then another look using it with smoke session. I love the packaging. Mine is fine. Seems like you got one that malfunctions. I think it would have been great if you could have reached out to customers service prior to making the video so you could have talk through not only your disappointment with the packaging but what if anything they plan to do about it.
Only thing I want from this collection is that beautiful army green beautiful liner!!!!!! Can’t wait until the reopen on the 8th. It is extremely similar to Gemini
I think the reason the packaging is doing that is because it's like a plastic piece over cardboard, cardboard can bend backwards and it's fine but plastic doesn't do as well, it doesn't bother me that much because I never bend my palettes back like that anyway so I don't think it will be a problem, I still plan on buying it when it restocks
Stunning look. I'm from Oregon and I'm a huge Oregon Duck fan.... our colors our green and yellow. Every game I try to do a green and yellow eye look. I had one palette that had similar colors to what u needed but I lost it some how. If I were to pick up a melt palette it would be this one cause I can't pull of reds on my eyes. I just look like I'm stoned or sick, lol no pun intended. But the greens and yellows in this palette is excatly what I am looking for. Too bad it is so damn expensive. I need to find a good dupe with these types of colors.
Id recommend maybe looking into the Morphe 35M Boss Mood palette or the Juvias Place Tribe palettes! Not really dupes to this palette but have a similar feel with some of the colors!
I have to say I was super excited when I heard that Melt was making another "green" themed palette for 4/20 since I already have Smoke Sessions but when i saw it was just so disappointing... these are colors I already have so many times over. I don't want to spend over $60 after taxes and shipping for colors I already have. :-( Hopefully their next release will speak to me more than this one did.
I like the packaging but part of me wishes the packaging on the palette was the same as the unit carton. It does look similar to Gemini but my thoughts when they launched Gemini were I wish those browns were yellows cuz you can dupe those brown shades very easily and I’m not paying £49 for 3 green shades. So this new palette is perfect for me. But is do understand the disappointment if you already have Gemini. I bought mine from the melt website cuz they’re not selling this collection on beauty bay. I’m really anxious cuz I’ve heard a lot of stories of the palettes arriving with some shattered shades because melts formula is so soft and buttery. I think melt needs to figure out their shipping situation cuz when you’re paying so much money for a palette a broken one is not what you’re looking forward to

Hey Brianna, so 1st a spliff is a blunt/ joint just a way to call a "weed cigarette" . Second I just got the ABH dream glow palette SOLELY because of you 🤭. So I can pack the literal shit out of it on my inner corners 😉 and I own 3 colorful highlight pallettes and all kinds of inner corner highlights but you always make the shades look so purty and rave about them so🤷🏽♀️ it was on sale and I bit the bullet ☺️. 3rd when you started I was like holy Shite that's a gorgeous green and by the 3rd shadow I'm like oh that's the Gemini palette all day 🤔. I mean GORGEOUS yes but like super similar 🙄. 4th I own burndished and I love! And that green 💚 color is coming home to Mama!!! 5th idk what's up with Melt but I've had issues before too... I got 2 lippies from them and one of them Literally came out like liquid oil and dry on the applicatior🤔🤬 so... Also a girl I follow...Amy loves makeup she got the Gemini palette and it turned moldy on her after like 2 months of having it!?🤨🧐 So I would NOT hesitate to call and tell them you got an already used or defective product! I mean you should be able to handle it however you want within reason without it falling apart upon opening! Don't be afraid, as long as you aren't rude! Believe me people complain for FAR LESS!! Anyway the final look is GORGEOUS and I still really don't know if I'm gonna get it 🤔🤷🏽♀️. At first look... Hell yeah, now🤔 idk I have Gemini and I don't use it enough to justify owning it! And I own radioactive stack and I rarely use😩 but I want EVERY SINGLE PALETTE they've come out with recently! I just ALWAYS hear such mixed reviews as well as the mold, broken shades, another TH-camr was showing how her shadows Literally just weren't glued in well enough so she couldn't like tilt it too much! I hope you like the dream glow kit as much as I do! Its one of my all time faves for inner corner highlights! I havent tried the liquid lipsticks before, Ive only tried the bullet lipsticks and so far theyve been good! Ive heard the liquid lips are hit and miss depending on the shade. Ive had a good experience with their customer service so far so im crossing my fingers when I email them about this palette! Ive never had problems with mold or anything like that from Melt and I have majority of their palettes (only missing impulsive and the 27 palette). Though Ive had palettes break in shipping (only the shimmer shades) since the formula is so soft. But them and Sephora have always been SUPER quick to replace it.
My smoke sessions palette is a literal disaster. I have never seen eyeshadows fall apart for no reason at all. I love it but never use it cause it’s a mess. All the shimmers are broken. Never left my makeup room.
I feel like not only are the shades similar to Gemini , they’re also similar to the green shades from the Impulsive palette which are also similar to Gemini.. Of course the greens in Impulsive are patchy , dry and hard to blend but since it shouldn’t be the case I don’t understand why always recreating the same shades. There must be a way to make them different while keeping them green as people want. There’s many tones and undertones of green. I understand not everyone owns these two palettes but for those who or those who plan on getting them , it’s huge let down.

I am surprised by the color story as well... There are so many beautiful purples and blues in marijuana plants. Granddaddy Purple or Grape Ape shades would have been awesome.

No. Again, lovely color stories, subpar execution with formula and packaging. And the price! NO! It's unacceptable that they are being this crappy for that price. Just, no. Great look, really, you are talented; but I'm about to cancel Melt over this, 'cuz I just can't with this crap. Where is the company that created the OG Gemini palette? Where is that Melt Cosmetics? This palette is cute but Melt needs to lay off the green, yellow, brown and grungy theme. They have the Gemini, smoke sessions, vida, rust, and now this. They are all beautiful but look the same. And i am lowkey tired of the weed theme merchandise.
I dont like when people sound entitled, I'm pretty sure the product description doesn't claim to maintain its structural integrity when you bend it all the way back past it's intended angle, maybe you have just been lucky your other palettes have held up to your personal preferences
LiLMusicBunny I see a lot of TH-camrs hold their palette that way. It has always been weird to me because I’ve always thought the brands intent was for consumers to use mirror in the palette but at the same time maybe they should make them so they don’t bend at all.

Aw im sorry :( I havent tried it with that primer, i mostly use the abh one since its slightly tacky and on the thicker side!

Love this green look! I don't own the Gemini pallete and I was thinking on getting both but if you could give me some advice and tell me which pallete out of the Gemini or four twenty you prefer?
Happy you like it! I think it depends what colors you like. I dont think theres a difference with the formula between the two. Id probably go with Four Twenty since it gives you more color options with the yellow/bright green as well as the option of neutrals. Just keep in mind the packaging gave me issues!
So I'm not sure if anyone else has answered your question or not but a spliff is a joint (marijuana cigarette rolled with paper) that has tobacco sprinkled throughout. It gives an extra something to the joint, gives you a head rush that makes you feel like your floating basically lol

This was from awhile back! They saw the video and told me that you aren't supposed to bend the mirror part as far back as I do and also sent me a replacement which was super nice. I dont know if the average user would be pushing the mirror back like I did here, I know content creators do so you dont get the glare. Since I did this video, Ive used a good amount of their newer palettes and haven't had the issue since :)

I have the Vida palette and they sure do like similar. And I honestly wanted to get the four twenty but you just saved me $58 that can go to something else

I ordered the melt impulsive palette to try their formula before dropping so much cash on their more expensive palettes. I'm so excited! I like this color story, the Gemini color story, and the Rust color story all 🤔🙄.

It does look similar to the Gemini Palette. I was hoping that they would create a pallet that is similar to the Smoke Sessions Palette only with more minty green and Kelly green duochrome eyeshadows like smoke Sessions 2.0!!!

Ive always done it with all my palettes to prevent glare! First time ive ever had a palette do it!
The palette is definitely not made to bend all the way back, regardless of if you’ve been doing it with all your other palettes. You can easily tell by its structure. I think you are really lucky that your other palettes haven’t broken and that Melt is so generous.
On the eyes you wouldn't be able to tell the differences really. If I had any of the others I wouldn't get this one
I dont think there'd be too much of a difference either! Especially once everythings blended together

That type of packaging is called lenticular printing. Looks cool but that it might not be super durable. I love this palette, but the only melt palette I have is the impulsive palette. I like it a lot, but I feel like even that palette has similarities to this palette, particularly the greens. Would have to see this in person before I would get it. Love the final look.

Beautiful look. I love this palette so far. I did one look with the palette alone and then another look using it with smoke session. I love the packaging. Mine is fine. Seems like you got one that malfunctions. I think it would have been great if you could have reached out to customers service prior to making the video so you could have talk through not only your disappointment with the packaging but what if anything they plan to do about it.

I think the reason the packaging is doing that is because it's like a plastic piece over cardboard, cardboard can bend backwards and it's fine but plastic doesn't do as well, it doesn't bother me that much because I never bend my palettes back like that anyway so I don't think it will be a problem, I still plan on buying it when it restocks
Ive had some of my other melt palettes pop a little by the mirror but not like this one! Could be a defect on mine too!
Stunning look. I'm from Oregon and I'm a huge Oregon Duck fan.... our colors our green and yellow. Every game I try to do a green and yellow eye look. I had one palette that had similar colors to what u needed but I lost it some how. If I were to pick up a melt palette it would be this one cause I can't pull of reds on my eyes. I just look like I'm stoned or sick, lol no pun intended. But the greens and yellows in this palette is excatly what I am looking for. Too bad it is so damn expensive. I need to find a good dupe with these types of colors.
Id recommend maybe looking into the Morphe 35M Boss Mood palette or the Juvias Place Tribe palettes! Not really dupes to this palette but have a similar feel with some of the colors!

I have to say I was super excited when I heard that Melt was making another "green" themed palette for 4/20 since I already have Smoke Sessions but when i saw it was just so disappointing... these are colors I already have so many times over. I don't want to spend over $60 after taxes and shipping for colors I already have. :-( Hopefully their next release will speak to me more than this one did.
I wish they would have done something different with it! I was surprised as to how close it looked to their other palettes

I like the packaging but part of me wishes the packaging on the palette was the same as the unit carton. It does look similar to Gemini but my thoughts when they launched Gemini were I wish those browns were yellows cuz you can dupe those brown shades very easily and I’m not paying £49 for 3 green shades. So this new palette is perfect for me. But is do understand the disappointment if you already have Gemini. I bought mine from the melt website cuz they’re not selling this collection on beauty bay. I’m really anxious cuz I’ve heard a lot of stories of the palettes arriving with some shattered shades because melts formula is so soft and buttery. I think melt needs to figure out their shipping situation cuz when you’re paying so much money for a palette a broken one is not what you’re looking forward to
I hope you like it! I've had a palette bust through them and sephora while shipping and they were quick to replace it. You just have to include pictures in your email to customer service

Hey Brianna, so 1st a spliff is a blunt/ joint just a way to call a "weed cigarette" . Second I just got the ABH dream glow palette SOLELY because of you 🤭. So I can pack the literal shit out of it on my inner corners 😉 and I own 3 colorful highlight pallettes and all kinds of inner corner highlights but you always make the shades look so purty and rave about them so🤷🏽♀️ it was on sale and I bit the bullet ☺️. 3rd when you started I was like holy Shite that's a gorgeous green and by the 3rd shadow I'm like oh that's the Gemini palette all day 🤔. I mean GORGEOUS yes but like super similar 🙄. 4th I own burndished and I love! And that green 💚 color is coming home to Mama!!! 5th idk what's up with Melt but I've had issues before too... I got 2 lippies from them and one of them Literally came out like liquid oil and dry on the applicatior🤔🤬 so... Also a girl I follow...Amy loves makeup she got the Gemini palette and it turned moldy on her after like 2 months of having it!?🤨🧐 So I would NOT hesitate to call and tell them you got an already used or defective product! I mean you should be able to handle it however you want within reason without it falling apart upon opening! Don't be afraid, as long as you aren't rude! Believe me people complain for FAR LESS!! Anyway the final look is GORGEOUS and I still really don't know if I'm gonna get it 🤔🤷🏽♀️. At first look... Hell yeah, now🤔 idk I have Gemini and I don't use it enough to justify owning it! And I own radioactive stack and I rarely use😩 but I want EVERY SINGLE PALETTE they've come out with recently! I hope you like the dream glow kit as much as I do! Its one of my all time faves for inner corner highlights! I havent tried the liquid lipsticks before, Ive only tried the bullet lipsticks and so far theyve been good! Ive heard the liquid lips are hit and miss depending on the shade. Ive had a good experience with their customer service so far so im crossing my fingers when I email them about this palette! Ive never had problems with mold or anything like that from Melt and I have majority of their palettes (only missing impulsive and the 27 palette). Though Ive had palettes break in shipping (only the shimmer shades) since the formula is so soft. But them and Sephora have always been SUPER quick to replace it.

My smoke sessions palette is a literal disaster. I have never seen eyeshadows fall apart for no reason at all. I love it but never use it cause it’s a mess. All the shimmers are broken. Never left my makeup room.
Mines pretty dusty too! Its one of the ones i would never travel with. Shimmers are gorg though!
I feel like not only are the shades similar to Gemini , they’re also similar to the green shades from the Impulsive palette which are also similar to Gemini.. Of course the greens in Impulsive are patchy , dry and hard to blend but since it shouldn’t be the case I don’t understand why always recreating the same shades. There must be a way to make them different while keeping them green as people want. There’s many tones and undertones of green. I understand not everyone owns these two palettes but for those who or those who plan on getting them , it’s huge let down.
I noticed that too once I got my Impulsive palette. Definitely a bummer theres a few palettes similar.

I am surprised by the color story as well... There are so many beautiful purples and blues in marijuana plants. Granddaddy Purple or Grape Ape shades would have been awesome.

I love Melt, I really do; but lately they have been releasing duds. I can't with this palette being a buck or two away from $60 and the packaging already falling apart. WHAT?! That's UNACCEPTABLE! I can't with it. I'm glad I didn't buy it. I would be RAGING! How are you so calm on camera about this? Also the last two palettes (which I also did not buy)... Rust & Millennial Pinx... No. Again, lovely color stories, subpar execution with formula and packaging. And the price! NO! It's unacceptable that they are being this crappy for that price. Just, no. Great look, really, you are talented; but I'm about to cancel Melt over this, 'cuz I just can't with this crap. Where is the company that created the OG Gemini palette? Where is that Melt Cosmetics? The packaging bummed me out honestly. I still love their eyeshadow quality though! I need to see what customer service says about the packaging. I liked the last two they did, just wish the launches werent so close since their prices are so steep.

This palette is cute but Melt needs to lay off the green, yellow, brown and grungy theme. They have the Gemini, smoke sessions, vida, rust, and now this. They are all beautiful but look the same. And i am lowkey tired of the weed theme merchandise.

I dont like when people sound entitled, I'm pretty sure the product description doesn't claim to maintain its structural integrity when you bend it all the way back past it's intended angle, maybe you have just been lucky your other palettes have held up to your personal preferences
LiLMusicBunny I see a lot of TH-camrs hold their palette that way. It has always been weird to me because I’ve always thought the brands intent was for consumers to use mirror in the palette but at the same time maybe they should make them so they don’t bend at all.
