So what actually died was the camera! I've had this happen before when I was streaming with Adam Something. The camera just dies, even though it's plugged into power. More evidence that this old Sony camera really needs to be retired. I just wish there was another camera that was this good for livestreaming. There's no more-recent sportscam with hardware image stabilization and clean HDMI out!
If you want more streets to test if people don’t drive 30 km/h, may I suggest De Boelelaan (the stretch just next to Zuidas after the VU), Van Leijenberghlaan (the stretch you drove in the stroad video) and Van Boshuizenstraat? I frequently ride there and noticed that drivers haven't slowed down much, even after the implementation. 😉
@40:32 "I want to get to Stevenage." First time anyone has ever said that! But joking aside, the English garden cities and new towns are interesting in their own way. Generally 15 minute cities, with good rail links and a few with decent grade-separated cycle routes. The downside is that they are boring compared to cities, but that could be said of most towns, whatever their age.
Just wanted to say thanks for your direct "say it how it is" attitude, it's such a necessary contrast to have along side much of the milquetoast de-clawed advocacy we so often get. I sometimes feel with advocacy like its like trying to deal with a problem like a heavily drug addicted community and constantly having people intergect with "but don't you know? Meth also has some occasional medicinal uses?? Why do you hate those people?!?"
lol! Nice analogy! I just can't stand being "nice" when one side is "look at this data and international examples showing this is better" and the other side is "OMG WAR ON CARS!!! TAKING AWAY MY FREEDOMS!!! WHY DO YOU HATE SENIORS AND DISABLED PEOPLE!?! 15 MINUTE PRISONS!!!!" I'm done being nice. 😆
18:01 Funny, you pronounce fietsflat like flat is a Dutch word .... but we say fietsflet ... like an English speaker would ... we are not allways very consistent :)
I just love 30km/h streets! The traffic is so calm and fluid. Here where I live, in Poland, most drivers don't stick to 30 though, they always go faster; they rarely even stick to 50. And the control and ticket system is virtually non existent. Oh, and btw, please don't, by any means, learn Polish language. It will kill you. Polish is BRUTAL. It's difficult even for Polish natives who permanently make mistakes - in grammar and ortography. Just NO. Thanks for your lives and videos (I've watched almost all of them), I adore Amsterdam, the architecture, the urban planning, and the bike culture - everything is so human friendly.
"What's the best city, outside of Amsterdam?" our country has 2,500 cities and towns and 4,000 hamlets, and everyone of them is better then Amsterdam 🙂

In Lindengrat, at the very beginning of the video, the central part of the road should be pedestrianised with grass, instead of being car parking imho
25:01 the bikes 🚴 though are very cool 😂😂

They are boring, but for a suburb or satellite town, isn't being quiet and boring a desired trait?
I don’t know why but the accent seems very prominent when you feel upset it sounds kind of funny 🤣🤣
Excellent way to start your stream, right next to a public urinal!

Ha, yes. Flat with a Dutch A is southern Dutch (Flemish) where people Dutchify loanwords more.
Youre the best! I’m sure this will help a lot of cities in the future
cycles in jordaan
"so this is oud west" 🤣
yeah, I thought I was a lot farther west than I was. 😆
Haven’t seen one pick-up truck. Wonder why?🤣
at 15:28 that fatbike looked to be going extremely fast
8:54 that’s kind of interesting 😂

27:30 This red for bikes took far too long here.
Please do the helmet video.

In all honesty, we consider Amsterdam to be a bit of a dump..
