I actually did want to watch you solder, and yes, I know how to solder. However, I'm curious about how to attach the 2nd set of wires to a receptacle that is built for one set of wires.
Sorry about that. I soldered the main line on first. Then I just glazed the smaller while with some solder and quickly pressed it into the main wire and released it :)
Mr SS yes the the BEC allows you to adjust the output voltage and the AMPS. In my case here I have the BEC booked up to 4S (14.8V). But I set the BEC to output 7.4V at 15amp. If you did. A 3S pack (11.1v) you can do the same!
Is that normal then that as soon as you plug a battery in that the BEC powers up and the external motor fan I have turns on? My CC BEC 2.0 also has a flashing red light. Is this also normal? I just wanted to make sure as this is the first time using an BEC.
Yeah the Bec pulls power from the battery when the ESC is off. Since the ESC is no longer providing power. So yeah once you plug a battery in. Anything plugged into the reviver will fire up!
@@waikryder6633 these External BEC are awesome. The amps being put out are so much higher than what most ESC can produce. I have three kits using them.
What if you only have one spare port on the receiver, can you just use a Y-harness to one port ON THE receiver to power it. I have the same Castle BEC putting it in trx4 but I'm running a Dragon led light kit in it already and only have one port remaining. I don't know if it's asking too much on the receiver to do this. I'm also running the Savoxx steering servo.
Is the BEC on at all times as long as the battery is plugged in even if the ESC is off?
Does yours lights up a red led when battery is plugged in? Just kind of odd they put a red led… their 10A Bec all got Green led’s

@@KMJ187 Okay... thanks! That is helpful.
Can i hook the castle bec directly to a 12v battery and turn the output down to match the ho servo?

ModdRocker is a 12v agm battery still ok? Im trying to make a rc mower
Mr SS you might want to call castle about that. Might be a bit much.

Why does it have 2 plugs?
Same question I have. Nobody seems to know...

I'm not sure. I purposely got a recover with one extra port. Would be a good question for castle creations. I'll reach out to them.
How do you change the output voltage
Same way using the castle hook up on the computer. It's very easy :)
