Ball speed this, ball speed that... about time somebody started asking the questions that matter. How well does it roll when I hit a 70 yard worm burner down the fairway?
@@UNIT-xh7qc Exactly! I want a ball that bounces towards the fairway every time, not towards the water, bushes or bunkers. 'Findabaility' is also an aspect I'd like to see reviewed.
With the claims that all these companies have been making over the last 10 years how each club/ball is x% better than last years model we should all be smashing it 400 yards by now! 🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
I’ve tried every ball under the sun this summer and I honestly can’t beat the Taylormade RBZ soft. You should do a ball review of the best balls within the £15-25 range for us who may lose a few a round *update* still using these even though I have gone from a 13 handicap last year to a 7 this year
I should try it i tried the taylormade tp5 absolutely hated it my favorite ball in the 15 to 25 range is definitely the calloway supersoft but favorite ball in general is a tie between pro v1 and a chrome soft
Dec Finnegan I ordered some vice drive balls off amazon going to give those a try cause I found one on the course the other day and it had a decent feel for a distance ball as well, definitely not as sticky as an RBZ
I’m a high handicapper and have a average to slow swing speed. I like playing these because they give me consistency and stop pretty much where they land, so I can just focus on a set distance and good strike. I think Rick’s review is spot on. They are a little harder. Previously, I tried proV1s and proV1x’s before knowing any better. I like those too, but not the price. Too expensive for a high handicapper like me. Therefore the Tour Speed works for me.
I just started golfing, and I wanted to thank you for all the amazing and helpful content that you put out! My game has improved so much since I found your channel!
Rick you need to do 9 holes wheel challenge. You write down all your clubs on a wheel on your phone, and each hit you spin the wheel and get a random club
Hey, Rick. Greetings from Canada. :) The editing lately has been phenomenal! For me, nothing beats a good Srixon ball! The only other ball manufacturer that I sometimes use if I want to change things up is a Bridgestone. Excellent video as always.
"We asked Titleist if their tour speed ball was faster than Taylormade, Srixon, and Callaway. They said yes.. the lie detector determined THAT was a lie!"
Another honest review video. That’s why you are growing so fast. Amazing job. My 2 cents is this: TaylorMade Tour response which I found 1 ball in the woods was a beast off the tee for me.
BEST ball review EVER! Hands down! The side by side comparison is EVERYTHING! Any chance we could get a side by side of same brand, different ball? For a guy like me, i live Srixon golf balls. This summer I have been using the q-star divide instead of the srixon soft feel. But I'm genuinely curious, what the differences are if we start with Z-star and just do the lineup of srixon balls? Same with pro v1 vs. Pro v1x vs tour speed vs not tour
The USGA has a limit on golf ball speed/energy in their rules. All golf balls will be pushing this limit and will test the same within margin of error. Nice proving this Rick!
Exactly. Just as there are limits to the driver. These companies are all about selling the average consumer distance but really the only thing people are buying is marketing fluff. Every year in my league I see these guys with new drivers, new golf balls claiming they are 10-15 yards longer than last year. If that were true they would be driving the ball 300 yards instead of their 225 carry that has been the same for 8+ years.
Rick, I am new to golf again. I took about a 10 year break. I was a 12 handicap when I stopped. I'm getting back a little of my old ways thanks to your videos. What is the best golf ball out there right now and what is the best one for the money?
The srixon z star ball is what I game, and one of my favorite things to do is test other balls against it. Nothing has come close to replacing it so far! Best golf ball on the market in my opinion.
The Bridgestone Tour B XS is the best ball on the market. Incredible feel, tons of spin around the green, very durable and looong. Tiger knows what’s up.

Hi Rick - I recently tested Bridgestone E12 Soft, Bridgestone Tour B XS, Callaway Chrome Soft, Pro V1, ProV1x... I found the Tour B XS to be the best combination of distance, flight and spin. Chrome Soft had the best distance and ProV1 best spin around the green.

I need to get over to England and play these courses where you film these videos, absolutely beautiful. Keep up the great work, glad I found your channel.
