    They need to get some contracts going with local level governments like trek currently does in our city. I love the option to spend $3 on a 20 minute ride or if I need it longer - I can use a pass as well as test out the bikes.

    Can someone explain to me how a kickstand mounts to the 18mm-spaced holes on the chainstay? I have a Liv Rove E+, and the holes aren't threaded. If the holes were threaded, I would just bolt the kickstand right up.

    The Giant Liv website pictures are deceiving. Only the Amiti E+ 4 is available in the US. It has no pannier rack. It has no handlebar LCD display. It only comes in white. How much does this weigh without the battery? Where is the option to buy the rack? When will the higher Amiti tiers be available?

      I just spoke with a Giant/Liv store manager who informed me that the new Amiti e+ 2021 coming out next week has a rack and screen. Not sure how much it will weigh without the battery, but with it, I was told it is within 40-45lb.

      @@ashleyh-s4734 I actually ended up getting the Amiti E+ 4 for my wife anyways because Liv/Giant is one of the few manufacturers that make Extra Small bikes. Overall, we're happy with this Amiti. I just wish that there were more color and accessory options. The kickstand is proprietary, and the Amiti-specific bike rack isn't even sold on the Liv website.
      As far as weight, mine weighs roughly 43 lbs without the battery. Which is kind of OK for my Yakima Dr. Tray bike rack (as long as I remove the saddle and seat post to get it below the 40 lbs max rating).

    I have an Amit-E that has had nothing but issues since I purchased it in new from my local dealer in 2019, and LIV/Giant is refusing to stand by their warranty. The local dealer, Glacier Cyclery in Whitefish, MT has been incredible in dealing with all of this, and they are as disappointed in Giant as I am. Giant refuses to replace the bike, even though it's spent hours at the dealer's shop in less than a year of ownership, it's had the defective motor replaced, and has ongoing battery and electronic issues that have ruined almost every ride I've taken it on. BEWARE OF GIANT AND LIV BIKES, as they won't stand behind their product when things go wrong.

      What was going on with the motor?

    • @CarmenHobson
      @CarmenHobson 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JustEnjoyingLife73 they never figured it out. The local dealer took the bike back and replaced it with a new one for me, used it in their rental fleet one summer and ended up getting rid of it. A friend of mine bought a newer model and had the same issue. The dealer replaced the batteries and did other work that seemed to fix hers, but she doesn’t trust it so doesn’t take it out on long trips.

      @@CarmenHobson Thanks for the reply. What was the bike doing? Like, what was the symptom?

      @@JustEnjoyingLife73 multiple things, but the main thing is that it wouldn’t recharge the battery And the battery would sometimes last 3 minutes on a charge, or 30 miles. Also had the motor replaced, and connections came apart within the motor housing.
