the first place I worked was a Sawmill that had a B61 single axel Log truck a B75 Tamdem lumber truck and a B 83 Tamdem Arch truck! Not a lot of people had Macks So I thought it was different to see. All three of those trucks had defroster fan hanging from front Center of the cab. The B 83 had the big Squair fenders.
She is the same 300 maxidine intercooled that my superdog had with highway gears 387 and a 5spd direct with about 2250 or 2300rpm"s and 11x24.5 tires she would do about 74 mph, about 10 over fuel on the pump, watch the pyrometer when you are in a pull Good ole trucks
I have always loved b-models. I contemplated restoring one about a decade ago, but went a different route. I never got a chance to sit in one. How cramped in the cab to sit in? I’m 6’4”, and I found the R-models I ran acceptable, but just cutting it in terms of leg room.
@BrockZandMackZ thank you. I recently subscribed to your channel. Love your videos as well. We didn't have many brockways around here. Seams the only ones I saw were steel haulers from Indiana or Michigan just passing thru
The B model was a fine looking truck. Never drove one but spent three years driving R models.
Absolute classic trucks !
Good day mate😉

My dad drove a Mack from about 1956 to about 1965 when he was upgraded to a cab over.
Nice mack
The B75 with LJ cabs (about 1954) were mote comfortable , but I loved 5 speed maxidines

@Xkekeskfndsmw the b61 is definitely cramped. The b75 with lower floor board is better. The L cab b models were similar to a R model.
There's got to be plenty of rolled over swift trucks to get a rear clip from ,?
Get in touch with the Mack historical society they will help you
Nice video. Count me in as a subscriber
