Many mystics in India believe that cosmic consciousness is God. The philosophy of Vedanta believes that this cosmic consciousness is the soul and God. Consciousness is the witness of mind, intellect, body, memory. I am that consciousness. In the philosophy of Vedanta, there is no God other than this consciousness. Vedanta says that matter and consciousness are both eternal elements and when both come in harmony, life appears. After death, the body returns to the world of matter and consciousness is omnipresent in the sky. This consciousness again joins a new body and appears in the form of life. Many philosophies also say that emptiness (sky) and consciousness are both the same. This emptiness is God. This is also called existentialism. You can read Osho and Krishnamurti but this philosophy has no connection with the Quran and Allah. Indian mystics say that this truth can be experienced through meditation. There is no need to believe in it.
