As much as I glee upon the fact we are getting Kirby in 3D, I think people are rushing to conclusions abit by calling it an open world game. Going by the fact that Kirby is usually on a set path throughout the city, it seems to be 3D in a similar sense to Super Mario 3D Land/World or the Crash Bandicoot games rather than an open world one. Regardless, I can’t express how intrigued I am. Can’t wait to see what’s next!
@@marioman42069 This is my guess as well, I think you can see the evidence of it the most in the clip of the Alligator scene. The amount of people who conflate “3D” and “Open-World” is weirdly high. Crash Bandicoot and the 3D Marios from 2001-2016, for example, are 3D games, but no one calls them “open world.” (Actually, even the Sandbox Marios aren’t even open world, not fully anyway). I would love an open world Kirby, too, but let’s hype responsibly, yeah?
@@deadboid3433 I mean, it _could_ be open world (someone mentioned the warp star potentially being fast-travel, combined with how detailed the area that Kirby flew by was, and there being one in that beach area). I’m just saying we can’t automatically assume that.
@@FedoraKirb That's why I said Origami king. There's fast travel and very detailed areas but I wouldn't consider it open world it's pretty linear. But that's just my opinion tho. Open world is GTA or Xenoblade Chronicles. Big, continent-sized playing areas that can be explored with little or no loading screens. The antiquated term for a game like this would be sandbox. But I guess that has fallen out of favour

When they said this is dark I remember how Sakurai said Marx had to be toned down to stay in the games because people were too scared of Marx being way creepier than he is today
This is the first time I’ve heard of this! The character that literally split himself in half in a children’s game was toned down??? And they still showed the aforementioned actions???
It's so heartwarming to see everyone so excited for the loveable pink bubblegum Eldritch god, but 3D doesn't equal open world... If it's not open world, people are going to be disappointed because they assumed it was open world...
It looks linear, but with bigger levels than stuff like Super Mario 3D World. Idk if it may have levels as big as something like Bubsy 3D tho (Yes, I've actually beat it (45 times) and it's actually not bad at all, on the contrary, it is amazing. I'm not kidding). I think the thing that makes most people think it's open world is the sheer amount of background detail, but it's just that, a background. It's not explorable.

@@netako yeah
My first Kirby game, and now it’s convinced me to play the previous games.
I'M HAPPY THAT WERE GETTING A 3D KIRBY GAME AFTER SOOO LONG I'M GONNA LOVE PLAYING KIRBY
A shame nobody ever joked about that place being an unfrozen Shiver Star or something like that.

@@BrodyBacon Oh, no idea how I missed that. Thanks!
This is one of the best things nintendo ever announced in their entire history !!!
I can't wait to see the backstory about this abandon city. I feel like this city might connected to Halman's backstory and Susie's too because that city looks like high tech with all that Escalator
Finally I get to fight an eldritch horror in this cute game again :D
That Intro is PERFECTION
YOOOOOOOOOOO I'm SO honored to be a part of this! Much love 💚
What a fantastic intro
I don't understand why they're all assuming it's open world. XD It's just a 3D platformer from what they've shown.
Nah the footage clearly showed open sections
@@finixmoon127 There are open sections, but it is not open world. Open world is things like Skyrim and breath of the wild.
@@KeifersIsAwesome Well we’ll have to wait and see it’ll probably have quite a big portion of linear paths but we can’t really tell for now so yeah.
Anything 3D is open world to zoomers
@@Treetops27 I am a Zoomer. I know the difference. It's not a matter of generation, it's a matter of knowing what you're talking about.
So freaking hyped for this game
You're not the only one who's hyped for this game dude
I wonder what all the bosses in Kirby and the Forgotten Land will look like I hope some of them are colorful
Our favourite tiny pink marshmallow is back and ready for an adventure!
I may not have a switch, but seeing my favorite pink boyo again made me so happy, i almost cried, HE FINALLY GOT A 3D GAME!!! THIS IS GOING TO BE AWSOME!!!
Everyone freaked out about 3D Kirby while I just remember how my childhood consisted of Kirby Air Ride, a 3D Kirby game.
Gura watching the trailer: "Time to repopulate with this monkey"
An actual in-game objective: "Slip between Gorimondo's legs"
So many people really think Crystal Shards was proper 3D? 😂🤣
They probably didn’t play it.
Air Ride was the only game prior to allow for movement along all three axes, yet no one really seems to bring it up as it is technically a Kirby game (albeit in name only).
@@nowee1953 it’s a racing spin off and not a mainline game though
@@Yundemz I'm fully aware.
@@nowee1953 oh alright then my apologies.
Just that whenever someone mentions that this is the first mainline 3D Kirby game they try to lump in air ride or 64
