House Steenkamp - 3D Walk-Through - Riekert and Osman Studios

Additions to an older home in the Pretoria east region. The client brief was to add an outdoor area as well as redo the kitchen. After a few rounds with the client, this was our final design. The kitchen was redesigned and some walls demolished that open up to the dining and lounge areas. The dining area added a floor to ceiling sliding folding doors which open up to the timber covered patio and deck with built-in braai. This area is raised from the natural slope, which provides privacy from the street, but at the same time allows for views into the hills of the leafy suburb.
