I mean when you get right down to it, cats have very little variation in facial expression vs dogs or some other mammals - possibly related to their less social lifestyle. To all the people that disliked this - don't be delusional please, you're witnessing nature. Nature isn't cruelty free and certainly isn't pleasant when when it comes to getting fed.
It's marvelous to watch these birds hunt, it's something you don't see every day. Just take a step away from your sheltered, unrealistic world view for a moment and simply take for what it is - an animal doing what it does best. Thank you.

    • @jakelee5096

@@kasper7574 I wouldn't, but then again you're trying to compare murder to an animal hunting for food to survive, which couldn't be more different.
Do you have any other favorite animals? Lions, sharks, foxes or wolves perhaps? Do you know what mother nature has them do on a daily basis to survive or are you just in denial?
Nature is beautiful and unforgiving, stop trying to get it to conform to what you believe because it's not only wrong, it's dangerous - look up Grizzly Man for an example.

Do you think they try to spear their prey when they hunt for birds or rodents? or do you think it happens sometimes on accident when they're trying to grab it.

I've seen times it on purpose as they'd repeatedly do so and other times they'd just grip it. I think it's based off of experience & preferences of the heron. But that's a guess from observation.
