Thanks for your valuable perspective from your experience with Blood Bowl through the decades. This and your other Blood Bowl videos helped me make my decision. I bought the 2020 Season 2 and am very happy with what you get, that box is just full of quality and value. I'm going to wait on this one as I love pure Blood Bowl and this seems to be far less of a value for an offshoot game I probably won't play very much, preferring to play regular Blood Bowl over this. I did buy a Blood Bowl 7's pitch from Mats By Mars during their Black Friday sale too!
Basic Blood Bowl and 7's are great versions of Blood Bowl. Dungeon Bowl has its moment and is kind of fun and zany but I just don't see it being a must have at this price point. I think they should have packed it up as an exapansion, cut out some stuff, and chopped the price down to under $100. At $160 it's a little hard to swallow for an admittedly off-shoot game.

The price point on this was just too high. If it was the same price as second season it would have been easier to recommend as prices have gone up but you get obviously less stuff in this box than second season. It is more than 3 blitz bowls. Dungeonbowl is both more and less fun than blood bowl. Chances for epic craziness is higher for those games you will remember but also games where you lose never getting a chance at the ball or games that grind out forever. Teams are also designed to be very expensive to set up where if you painted your previous teams you have to buy another set of multiple plastic teams. If you do not paint than it is handy that no model type plays for 2 teams. Nice 2nd edition metal minotaur.
The price point was a major sore point for me and I talked about how for $160 getting recycled miniatures on a new sprue was kind of a (bad) joke. I don't think this is a good starting point for Blood Bowl (2020 hands down is) but I do think it does 2 things well 1) it adds more craziness and chaos to the game 2) it allows us to play "what if" teams for some added zaniness. I am glad I picked this up as a Blood Bowl junky but I would never say this is a good entry to the game, good alternative? Sure! Good jumping in point? That is a flat no.
Good eye, catching the 2nd edition Mino, he is part of my old metal chaos team. I think if I recall right it was Skaven, Chaos Dwarf, and 2 Minotaurs, would need to go find my old team roster to be sure.
