I have a cozy day off today, and I loved listening to this as I began my Solstice season with winter cleaning. I’m sweeping away old habits, clearing the air, and starting a simmer pot with citrus for cleansing and sun energy, then adding spices and herbs like cinnamon, rosemary, and clove. My Yule tree and Yule log are up. I’ll go foraging for some holly to add to the fir and cedar I’ve already gathered. I celebrate the solstice with friends, and Yule with family members. I am a new witch of 6 months. This will be the first year i will celebrate Yule and the winter solstice. I am going to decorate my altar with a crystal robin brooch, a sprig of synthetic berries and pine, and i am using acorns to symbolize the oak king. I was hoping to find some holly but ive not been able to. I have rosemary outside so might use some of that too. I have some white candles on my altar already. But I realized I still haven't set up my Yule/Winter Solstice altar yet! 🎑There has been a small heard of deer passing through my yard. Seeing you uploaded a new video always makes me happy. It’s the first year in a lot of time that I have felt joy to enter the Yule season. I want to do some cleansing and protection and decorating our home. I’m trying to get a corner into an altar space, but it’s still in progress!! 💪 I will see if I can stay up all night. Yule is my favorite sabbath to honor 🌲❄️🕯️ thank you for sharing some wonderful ideas on how to celebrate! We host a big Yule party for friends, family and neighbors. Everyone brings a dish or beverage to share at our community table. We play a game where I hide a hand bell in the house and when a guest stumbles on it they must ring it and yell “we call back the light” then they hide the bell somewhere new for another guest to find and ring (if they participate they get a small treat as thanks for playing along). We also decorate a yule log and tuck notes in the string stating what we will burn away in the fire that no longer serves us then jump over the yule log while stating what we want to bring into the next turn of the season. And if weather permitting, I build a labyrinth out of snow, ribbons or electric tea lights. I love how this season makes me feel so close to my community. I love sharing the coziness of being together on the longest night and the joy of seeing the light in others.

I find if you're ever stuck for coloured candles, birthday candles are freely available in a variety of colours if it's just a small working. I have white pine branches, pine cones, winterberry berries all from my back yard. I took a walk today and found some American holly growing and some that had been trimmed I I collected the trimmed branch to bring home. Some protection magic is definitely needed soon too. Thanks for sharing! 🎄❄☀

🤶🎅🧑🎄🎄 I thought it was very straight forward and simple. I love the idea of doing the releasing ritual at sunrise. I will be using a candle as it is very cold and ❄️ snowy here. I've been given some other ideas thru an online coven so I always like to take bits and pieces and create my own and record it in my journal.
My yule altar always has pinecones, cinnamon sticks, greenery, and red holly berries, and this year i have a golden tree decoration as well as some tarot cards with christmas motifs! Despite the normal christmas holiday festivities, yule is always a quiet, introspective part of the year for me, so I keep my altar simple but festive, and I can feel the calm, quiet energy coming from it and I'm here for it

I’m making some life changes and moving because I’ve been feeling very stagnant the last couple year. Some changes have been made for me and I’m trying to accept them and use said changes to develop
I'd love to make a Yule altar but I realy dont know where to have one. I have my permanent altar/Shrine for Freyja. But I could never take that down. For Samhain I made an altar to my ancestors on the Wardrobe in the spre room. However my spare room used to be my Mum and Dad's bedroom. And the wardrobe is where my Mum used to sit and apply her makeup. So that is appropriate. I have a bonfire every full moon. My altar is in my living room and its a wooden corner shelf with a beautiful china cabinet attached on top and wooden cabinets on the bottom. The china cabinet is used to keep my tarot cards with my selenite, and to display trinkets that belonged to family members that have passed on. The actual shelf is my altar and its always decorated to the max. This year, i dedicated my yule altar to odin and its beautiful with my wolf talisman, wolf crystal, crow feathers, apatite tower, rainbow flourite bear, little trees, pine cones, etc. And my bottom cabinets is where i hold all of my witchy supplies and my living room is pretty small so all of my furniture is close together so my coffee table is where i keep all of my active spell candles, jars, smoke cleansing tools etc and its where i do all of my workings, spells, and rituals. And i love doing workings at my coffee table because sitting on the floor really helps me with centering and grounding my energy. 💙 i hope everyone has a happy yule
I love the idea of disposing of the ash/water ritual remains in my city’s green bin… that way I don’t have to go anywhere to dispose, the city will literally take it away from my property, and it has that transformation of turning into something useful, exactly like our kitchen scraps! Lazy witchcraft? Nah! 🤣✨😜
I started focusing on Yule last year with a mix of Christmas. I have wicker goats, cranberries, bells and mini witch bottles on my tree along with other ornaments from years ago. My tree is fake but I also bought a tabletop blue spruce which is my gnome tree. 🎄🎁🌟🎅🤶🕯️🦌🌰🍊

I actually find that working with the Norse goddess Skaði (Skadi) and the Norse god Ullr are good deities to work with and I do feel like bringing Krampus into the mix this year however there is something I want to do for Krampus I just don't know how to do it though

I'm zesting some orange peel to put away for later. I don't really practice Sabbat rituals; in truth, that was something that turned me off of Wicca. Now that I'm older, I appreciate the traditions being kept alive.
🎄celebrating Yule for the first time this year and going to a winter festival working on my alter creating some new oils this yule to work with in the new year
My altar is in my living room and its a wooden corner shelf with a beautiful china cabinet attached on top and wooden cabinets on the bottom. The china cabinet is used to keep my tarot cards with my selenite, and to display trinkets that belonged to family members that have passed on. The actual shelf is my altar and its always decorated to the max. This year, i dedicated my yule altar to odin and its beautiful with my wolf talisman, wolf crystal, crow feathers, apatite tower, rainbow flourite bear, little trees, pine cones, etc. And my bottom cabinets is where i hold all of my witchy supplies and my living room is pretty small so all of my furniture is close together so my coffee table is where i keep all of my active spell candles, jars, smoke cleansing tools etc and its where i do all of my workings, spells, and rituals. And i love doing workings at my coffee table because sitting on the floor really helps me with centering and grounding my energy. 💙 i hope everyone has a happy yule

I love the idea of disposing of the ash/water ritual remains in my city’s green bin… that way I don’t have to go anywhere to dispose, the city will literally take it away from my property, and it has that transformation of turning into something useful, exactly like our kitchen scraps! Lazy witchcraft? Nah! 🤣✨😜

I started focusing on Yule last year with a mix of Christmas. I have wicker goats, cranberries, bells and mini witch bottles on my tree along with other ornaments from years ago. My tree is fake but I also bought a tabletop blue spruce which is my gnome tree.

I actually find that working with the Norse goddess Skaði (Skadi) and the Norse god Ullr are good deities to work with and I do feel like bringing Krampus into the mix this year however there is something I want to do for Krampus I just don't know how to do it though
