Just a tip if anyone is going for a tangled theme, floating lanterns are really easy to make and look great! I use concrete and soul lanterns but any blocks work well

I kinda agree with concrete blocks but glass blocks work well
ooh yes glass would also work really well @@richardcanlas5188! Concrete would be good for a bolder color and glass would give a lovely light, soft look!
Or yellow frog lights! I think it looks more real especially with wood trap doors around it
Just built this for my daughters on our SMP realm. Had to first build a mountain using lava and water, and that turned out exceptionally well. It makes natural channels for water springs and waterfalls. I filled in overhangs with rooted dirt, and packed mud beneath it to look like mudslides. Lots of azalea, moss, flowers, red mushrooms, etc. Lastly, in keeping with Disney’s traditions, I put in automatic firework launchers around the tower. All in survival. It has been a grind, but it’s my proudest build yet!

I love the fairy tale aesthetic for the tower it really reminds me of the story of Rapunzel and I love how the colors blend so well together.

I might be late but when i was building this in survival i used a water fountain to go up easily after having to get more materials instead of building myself up and down the whole time in the beginning

Please can we not have the “you can randomise as you go” because I find it really hard to do that, plus when I’m following what she’s doing and then it skips, it’s hard to figure out where things go. Then she started building like inwards and again said “randomise” like I’m sorry but bro I have no idea what you’re doing man

Hi there Makenzie, trapdoors can be pretty troublesome, is it the trapdoors I place at 25:08 that you are having trouble with? i can get copper and stuff like that but i dont know about purpur blocks as im not really that far into the game.. what other block can i use other than purpur blocks?
Hiya Pooli, you could substitute the purpur in the build for crimson wood for a similar purple color, or using jungle wood gives a different but really pretty look 😊Hope this helps and happy building!
This is awesome but pretty disappointed that there was no finishing tutorial about the staircase or decorating part. I spent a ton of time making this for my kid and I can't finish it...

For the 575 stone bricks/stone/etc. on the materials list, is that 575 of each of the blocks you mentioned? Or a mixture of them as long as it equals 575?

Building this right now, I’m using muzunos texture pack so I just used white concrete and white concrete powder on the walls, and copper for all the roofs, it sucks they changed the purple texture because it’s way cuter in vanilla.

Gurl how did u add the amethyst crystal above the trapdoor !
Heya GHALA, to place the amethyst make sure the bottom trapdoor of your window frame (the one the amethyst is going on) is placed on the glass block and not on the sandstone below the window. You can see this in the video at 2:31, you should be able to place the amethyst then 😊Hope this helps and happy building! Do you have a tutorial for a staircase or something from the bottom entrance to the tower
Hi there Kamille Llamas, i don't currently have a tutorial for a staircase for this build, but a spiral staircase would definitely be the way to go! I would also recommend using a ladder as a great alternative as it would take up significantly less space than a staircase. i love this but i cannot get my oxidized copper slab to go between the stairs the way you did, it keeps going on the bottom or above :(

Are you talking about the slab placed at 2:36 ? Try placing it on the top half of one of the stairs on either side of it, or you could place three blocks over the top of the stairs and above the gap the slab goes in, and place the slab from underneath by look up and placing it on the temporary block

is there an alternative to 13:48 part?? I cant seem to put stairs on trapdoors
Hi there Owen, sorry for not replying sooner! If you arent able to place them onto the stairs, try placing a temporary block in the place of the stair, the place the trapdoor then remove the temporary block and add the stair in after. If you still cant get the trapdoors in you can always leave them out, since it is quite high up it shouldnt be too noticeable

Why would you make a jump from one wall to the other?? I can’t randomise, I get too stressed

Im sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the randomizing, it can be one of those things where practicing it makes it easier but if you are having trouble you can always just repeat what you have already built for one wall and then swap just one or two blocks to make it a bit different
You got this and remember the thing with randomizing is it doesnt have to be "perfect" so dont stress 😊🌼

In the materials list, it says I need 118 stripped spruce logs and then also 8 stripped spruce wood... are those not the same thing?
Hi there lightinthefield, the stripped spruce logs have the interior wood texture on two of the faces whereas the stripped spruce wood as the stripped bark texture on all the faces. Both are included as in some cases in the build, you need to use the wood so the texture is the same from each direction 😊 To craft the wood, you place 4 logs in your crafting table (the same way you do with planks to make a crafting table) and then strip the wood block as normal. how do i put the amethyst cluster on its not working for me
Hiya Jaxxallen, to place the amethyst cluster on the window frames (as seen at 23:12 ) you need to make sure you have the trapdoor placed in front of the glass not on the sandstone wall block above the window. To check it is in the right place you should be able to put a block directly on top, if you cant, move below the window and place a trapdoor onto the current top trapdoor while holding crouch, you can then remove the top trapdoor and you should be able to place the amethyst in (remembering to hold crouch)

how did you do the stairs?
Hi there Beverly, to build these stairs you start with a post going the whole height of the tower. Then you place stairs going up one block at time placing them on the faces of post rotating 90 degrees each time. Then you can fill in the corners with slabs to connect each of the stairs and use trapdoors to create a banister

Hi there Ally, make sure you place the side trapdoors on the base trapdoor, and that the base trapdoor is on the glass block and not the sandstone block below, you can check this as you should be able to place a block directly below the trapdoor on the sadstone

U never finished the right wall at 4 min 7 seconds u shows u putting in stone at top of that side then blurs to the wall on the back side next half done so idk what u put from 4 min 10 seconds to 4.37 when u did the next wall

From 4.10 to 4.30 i just continue randomizing the blocks with the moss focused towards to bottom, your texturizing doesnt have to look exactly like mine as long as you are happy with the finished look 😊If you are having trouble randomizing, feel free to join my discord server and id be happy to post some pictures of the back/sides of this tower so you can see how i randomized it

Hi there! Staircase can be a little confusing to build for sure! In this tutorial for a Boot Cottage i create a staircase just like the one i used inside this tower just without the center post, if you follow the tutorial for that step but continue to build it all the way till you reach the top of the tower that might help 😊Boot Cottage: th-cam.com/video/jduz8WYPN_Q/w-d-xo.html
Another option which takes up less space and allows for more flexibility when decorating would be to hang down some glow vines (plus has the benefit of adding pretty light and greenery)

i love this omg it looks amazing. instead of purpur, I used spruce planks and stairs and it looks good as well, I just haven’t been to the end yet in the world I built this in. i also added some leaves to the roof. this is so cute ahh I feel like rapunzel or something hehe
