I just scored a FREE 1985 Elite 150 for helping move some stuff. No carb and it is a little beat up here and there but mostly complete but disassembled body panels. Been sitting 11 years due to breaking down. Owner pulled carb then just gave up. I dropped a battery in, changed oil and antifreeze then sprayed starter fluid in the throat and ABRA CADABRA it fired right up! Ordering a replacement upgrade carb and a few other upgrades from 85 tech and unfreezing rear drum before giving it a first out road trip. Will document with video and upload as I make progress. Hope you are enjoying yours as much these are definitely worth time and money to restore and ride.
Edit: had to rewatch a few times because the background music and spray can sounds kept putting me to sleep lmao. Anything I can't find online I can reproduce, I am retired from boat manufacturing and have plenty materials to do so.

What are you using to repair the cracks?

I just used plastic that I melted. Used some wire mesh for strength

Buy it, It’s faster, better, stronger and a lot easier. All those cracks. What he did won’t last. Stop being cheap and buy it new for like $17

Can not buy any body parts for these anymore and when you could back then they were alot more expensive than $17.

I wish you could buy the plastic for $17. Ebay is your only option and even then the plastic is expensive and usually rashed as well.
