Again and again I can't help but smile when I see and hear the relaxed communication and team work from you guys. Very nicely done on a very challenging tree. Keep yourselves safe. Randy
You and joe work great together! With the knowledge you both have you can conquer anything. Your a real inspiration to a lot of people. Keep up the great vids!
You guys make it look like FUN and seem safely relaxed. No major shouting at each other which is very nice. I know what you are doing is intense and not easy! Amazing good example of how a good crew should work together and accomplish great tasks protecting yourselves and the homeowner's property. Thank you for sharing all this good information to us not on your level. Each of your videos show me something to learn about tree cutting and safe saw handling. I'm no expert, but I love to do my own and you guys are a big help by sharing these videos.
We did a job where we had to remove a big Elm by a irrigation canal in an affluent neighborhood. We had some tips fall into the canal, and the water/irrigation people were called. The canal inspector got there just as we finished, and told us not to let ANY of the tree debris fall in the water. LOL! Good job guys! Tight, difficult spots are a lot of what keep our industry alive. The vids are great btw!
If that wasn't my late uncles street, it was in the neighborhood. That canal irragated an awesome veggie garden. A lot of those trees by the irrigation ditch looked bad even 20 years ago. Always a pleasure watching a professional work. Thanks for sharing this.
Great TEAM !! wonderful to see you all work together. Nice to see you care so much about your customers property, I didn't see a twig or leaf damaged.....Great job !!
I always appreciate your calm demeanor. Joe as well, over there on his spar, mellow, just doing what is needed. I liked the tandem "tied together fall together" cut, nice. I'm pretty sure you were rigging down with old school three strand there. Yet another great video August and team. Thank you guys. Five more days and I'm OUT of Afghanistan for good and UP into the trees where I was meant to be...
Brian Piercy - If you stop at McGuire Air Force Base, and you need anything at all, please call me. (732) 535-0651. Godspeed! 🇺🇸....
It's been an honor. Thank you August. Ramped my last airplane today and walked off the ramp. There were silent tears... strange how they just flow from somewhere...
Thank you Samuel! My routing looks to be C17 from Bagram to Kuwait, bus in 110F to Ali Al Salem, hurry up and wait for up to 7 days for stand-by Freedom Bird, (likely 747 charter) to Fort Bliss El Passo Texas for "demobilization" to turn in all my battle armor, helmet etc (80lbs of it), out process medical, then probably 737 west to the San Francisco International, where WIFEE picks me up... and do all that kissing and stuff (YES!). I may be wrong, but if we do stop at McGuire, and I'm down for awhile, I'lll indeed call Phil's number and request to split some wood at his wood lot.. cause' wood split'n is one thing I dearly miss. Samuel, Thank you so much. I've subscribed to your channel and will be digging into your videos soon. You ROCK!
Over the last three weeks I have been watching your videos, I must say you seem like an amazing employer. You also have a great crew too which helps. Just watching you in the tree and the skill that you have is amazing I kinda wish I could change careers. Any way all the best from the tall trees in Australia. Ben
Great videos. Made me pucker up a little bit at 11:20, from the angle of the video the stem he's tied into stopped that chunk he was lowering from swinging into the top of his head. Comes along with the job, just thought i'd point it out in case you missed it. Stay safe out there guys. Keep innovating and progressing, makes all of our jobs safer and easier on us.
I love that echo. It sounds bigger than it is. It's like if a Yorkshire terrier had the bark of a Doberman and it seems to bite like one too. I guess it's more of a uhhh...Honey Badger?! lmao
Nathan Silveira your right the echo is the best new saw on the market. It stays running unlike the husquavarna 545 and the new stihl 201 is just weak. The echo is cheapest and best operating saw. It has the best sound as well. Does not sound like a sissy saw .
Daniel, in all fairness, August( aka MonkeyBeaver ) could have bought a cpl more echos with the worth of the mods done to the saw used in this solid Hunicke production
Hi August, looks like you are enjoying your little Echo. Since you had it worked on, it really rips. Nice job guys. Take care my friend 's!!😁😁 Your friend Al.
Another good video August. The long been dead with no live high tie in points are the toughest. Be extra careful to make good choices. Stepping away from center to reach Long branches and overheads is risky. I tie those with a pole. Love your stuff. Stay safe👍

Awesome August! It was crispy fried! Always a great time in one of those. I havent came across a tree that is worthy yet and I am still trying to figure out how to make good videos and edits.
Good work August! Sure would be nice to work with a crew like that on a daily basis!! To have skilled workers and they enjoy what they do, its not just a paycheck to them would be nice for a change.. that echo really rips i have a stihl ms192 that i just fixed up and ported and it rips now also reminds me of that echo.
That little echo rips into the trees , welcome to echo, damn fine machine as well as Stihl, they work well together...these are mongrel trees, so much rigging & mucking around to term it nicely, once again you & Joe made it come down kindly..lol
Man that tree looked sketchy, it didn’t move bad though and the ropeman was on.... what was that trendy word...🤔😮 Fleek! Nice work Monkey Beaver Crew! Be well
Acclimated by pain love it. August I've been looking for x rings already in a sling haven't been able to find them or in looking in the wrong places. Where can I find them?

Samuel Luria yeah that's what I said. Close to half the weight of the bigger saw. Substantial. But on bigger removals, twice the fuel is where it's at. Get both and have the best of both worlds for the price of one stihl.
August obviously most of your videos come from the interesting technical and difficult removals, but does grants Pass and the surrounding area have a lot of the commercial tree work that a lot of tree guys consider bread and butter? HOAs, building clearance, city work etc. Or is a lot of your work residential customers.

Hey August, I love your videos but I had a question and Im in no way criticizing your work. I really enjoy using cranes when the budget and accessibility allow for it. Thanks for sharing your passion and making these videos.

Hey August - great video!! Tricky tree done by real pros - very inspiring. My oldest son is also 28 - We have more things in common than most people.
You've learned to not micro manage the ropes!! I love seeing that 😉lol!!Congratulations!!
Love the “porty-cam” shot around 18:05. Not something I have seen much before in your videos. More please!
That was a lovely crisp old tree!
I love that echo it's a rowdy lil guy. Keep up the good work friends.
trust when it comes to trees is a interesting word.

Jason Avery hmm, I would assume Sherrill or TreeStuff.
August Hunicke I can find them by themselves but not sown in I will have to look again
Jason Avery maybe look up ring slings
August Hunicke and there they are thanks august guess I was searching wrong
Nice call out on Mr. Driver at 11:38 😂
Funny you're running that little 2511 before it got the stihl bar. Honestly.... I love that saw. All it's 9 lbs.
Awesome team work like always. Big sprawler.
@August in this video are you using a DMM Pinto or Rig pulley as your ddrt canopy anchor? And how do you feel about that bend radius/performance. Thanks 🙋🏻♂️ Edit: Nevermind just realized only the rig pulleys are purple haha

Great job. Buckin is also going to be impressed.
Good work what brand of spike you got
Great job..you guys are a top notch crew

... Always a pleasure hangin´ out with you Mr. Hunicke

Wow nice work! I'd be so leery of tying into that, then rigging, crazy!
what chain are you running with that 2511t? it's throwing some nice flakes
I looked back to saw kings 3, it's a 1/4 picco
Bucking’ hangs his 2511t on the handle too 😂
Could you if zip lined it or was it too risky with a 💀 🌲?
August what rope was you using to lower the Liam's the big pieces out of that tree
Kenneth Small are used three different rooms. Sirius is the line for the safebloc. Used some three strand on Joes side and something called blaze or fire or something like that on my side
i noticed you use 3-4 rings on one rope when drooping limbs , is that to help eliminate friction on the ropes
Greater Bend radius protects rope.
Just out of curiosity for educational purposes for myself. Why not use a safebloc on rigging spar? Wouldn't it reduce the strain on the dead wood?
Samuel Hawks ya, it would.
how much you charge for this one? curious
A Job from hell.... but well done my Friend! Greetings ps Next Time use a Heli 😁😉 would make the Job less risky... at least a crane... Stay Save my Brother from a Different Mother!
Rocking the cs355t. I like it. I see you do, too. New favorite climbing saw?
Andrew V Nah 2511
August Hunicke 3lb lighter than the cs355t. Half the fuel capacity. I still want one. Thanks for the response and the video.
THREE POUNDS????😱😵😰😱😵😰 Holy SMOKES!!!!
Samuel Luria yeah that's what I said. Close to half the weight of the bigger saw. Substantial. But on bigger removals, twice the fuel is where it's at. Get both and have the best of both worlds for the price of one stihl.

Ya
Great editing, love the music fades :¬)
