A couple items the stick does get longer pull from below the platform away from you. I did wonder if you could leave it on a table and walked completely around the table will it follow? Camera panoramic works. What about video?
The disclaimer you gave at the beginning saying Smove sent you their product and then your honest review, pros and cons, has made you my new BEST “go to” for video production software and product reviews! ❤️
I bought one I think its the best of its kind so far. Just had to learn how to use. Not sure if you mentioned that it extends and that it has a built in battery pack for you phone. Sorry only watched your video once and my wife kept talking to me😂
Hi, just found your review. I agree the Smove Mobile is a nice piece of equipment, at least for my needs. One problem I do have though is with the app (iPhone SE 2020) in that I have quite a bit of trouble getting it to properly switch between the various options (Slomo, Timelapse, Video and Panorama). Have you run into that problem, or know others who have?
Great video. I had purchased the DJI Osmo but returned it since the app doesn't work with my Galaxy S22 Ultra. I'll take a chance on the Smove, now with your affiliate link.
Great review! Just got a smove; trying to get familiar with it. Unable to take a photo or start video from the stick(red button); could this be because of a Bluetooth problem? Please advise!
Hello Jen, thanks for sharing! This was very helpful for me. Im a health & fitness coach who doesn’t post but decided to start on different t platforms. I was looking at the get pivo pro in comparison by any chance did you try it if so what was your thoughts in comparison to this? I am looking for something that I can take with me and not have something I can utilize in the parks or at the gym (once they open up) lol...Any suggestion with this will be great? Thanks again for inspiring!
I received mine yesterday. Unfortunately, the app won't stay connected to the stabilizer, which makes the whole thing useless. I'm using a Galaxy S22 Ultra. There's no support phone number to call, no chat, only email and I still haven't received a reply to an email I sent over a week ago before I bought this. I'm no stranger to this kind of equipment, so I'm pretty sure it's not a matter of operator error. Also, the app you're showing looks nothing like the app I downloaded. There are several versions of the app and I tried all of them. You also have the side buttons, which mine doesn't have! The tracking doesn't work, either.
Hi, I wouldn’t recommend shooting every shot with the Smove- you wouldn’t want every shot to have a steadicam feel. You could mix it in with some tripod or handheld shots. Also the Smove only supports phones or go pro sized cameras- you’ll want to make sure you capture audio on a separate device.
Jay Lucas that’s an interesting question to me. It put me in mind of my time at film school from 96’ to 01’. We used to utilize giant metal jib arms with sand weights, dolly tracks (and skateboards & wheelchairs), heavy duty tripods to hold the 16mm filmic camera, and our school had only three Avid non-linear editing systems (and one of them was taken by the football program 🙄). I remember filling up the backs of two medium sized pickup trucks when I drove with my senior film partner from Montana to Wisconsin with all this gear for a week’s worth of shooting and then back again. It took us so much time to set all the gear up for each scene. Getting back to your question... a talented filmmaker could duplicate most of our shots with a GoPro and this product. It absolutely amazes me how accessible filmmaking is now. With the addition of a small light kit and some cordless mics and some decent editing software, a person could realistically make an amazing short film or documentary in my opinion (based on the functionality of this product described in the video). I believe we live in a time when incredible things are possible for talented filmmakers! Thank you for that trip down memory lane and for reminding me what things used to be like.
Thank you for your honest review. How does it compare to DJI OSmo mobile 3? also i feel like using a small tripod like a Manfrotto. I just feel these stabilizers are very cumbersome.
Hi, I haven’t used the OSMO 3, but I do have the original OSMO which includes a camera. The gimbal on the og OSMO is excellent but the pic quality is meh. The O3 uses your phone which is nice but I can’t speak to the quality. Anyone else on here know anything?
@@JennJager Thank you so much for your response! It's difficult to get responses from ANY TH-camr and I'm so desperate for answers and information! You are very honest with your knowledge which I appreciate and it's nice and clear so I subscribed! Thanks so much!
I’ve had this for a year and this is the first video after which I feel like I actually understand how to use it now.
Me too, the VERY small instruction trifold was incomprehendable.
I LOVE the fact you took a Smove video of your dog taking a shit lol
It’s an artistic choice 😏
best and most honest review of this product I've seen so far. I agree on all comments.

I use this gimbal for all my videos. Never going back 🙌
Hi, is possible you can tell me how active smove Bluetooth? For connect with my cell phone. What button at smove use for setup!
Hi Nice video. Please help me how i active the smove Bluetooth? Which button use for active at gimbal?

I was hoping to find some info on how well the SMOVE works with GoPros. Nice video and thanks for sharing.
Great video. Thank you. I am looking to film elite skateboarders. Would you recommend this product or a DJI 3 or DJI 4? Thank you

Great vid - thank you!
I have the smove and at times it feels really out of wac. Wish they would upgrade software
Great Review. The only question I have. How does it do for stabilizing when taking photos?
Can you add a microphone and use both at the same via Bluetooth?
Great question
1:53 a bonus nobody wanted. Like if you agree. :-)
Well, we know the dog smoved good! Lol
Thank you, I’ve been waiting for someone to acknowledge that! 😂
All fun!!
do you recommend using the smove to shoot a short film

Can you use an external mic?
You can plug an external mic into your phone, not the Smove. Hope that helps :)
do they have a Smove for a GoPro?
Hi Virginia, I believe the GoPro will fit in the Smove head.
just received my smove.
Awesome Jenn
could have gone with out the dog pooping. :)
Haha, you secretly loved it. Admit it!
I did buy the SMOVE though. Thanks for the review
No, they have no support
It was not the smove it was the iPhone 11 the whole time lol don’t blame it on the smove
waoooo nice video and you are very beautiful.
I love it.
If they send you something for free then its SPONSER
Actually, it isn’t. In sponsorships, the company has editorial control over what the creator says about the product. Thanks for playing, though.
Maybe you should build up your arm strength of it's to heavy for you.
Awesome mansplain! Thanks!
