In Exodus chapter 34, God reveals that He is a jealous God. I am grateful for that aspect about God. As the LORD says in Exodus chapter 34 verse 14, "Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God." In the book of James chapter 4 verses 5, God reveals that jealousy for us, as the Bible says, "Or do you think Scripture says without reason that he jealously longs for the spirit he has caused to dwell in us?" I am grateful that God desires my spirit with jealous feelings, as I want His jealousy to protect me from harming myself or doing the wrong thing. As King David also experienced this, as David says in the Psalms, "...He guides me along the right paths for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." -- (Psalm 23:3-4). I am grateful for God's rod and staff, to either sternly keep my behavior disciplined with the rod or to gently nudge me back on the right path with the staff. At the same time, I have to do my part in this holy relationship also to work on obedience by faith. As the Bible says, "Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion for someone to devour." -- (1 Peter 5:8). Also, I work on perfecting my helmet of salvation (Ephesians 6:17), which includes not conceiving sinful desires, as the Bible says, "When tempted, no one should say, 'God is tempting me.' For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death." -- (James 1:13-15). King David lacked the New Covenant Scriptures back then, obviously. While God protected King David often, his lustful desires eventually enticed him and it gave birth to his sin of adultery (2 Samuel 11:1-5). King David's lack of faithfulness, which was great up to that point, caused him to forfeit God's promise (Acts 2:29), as King David eventually would "see decay" (Psalm 16:10) -- but King David's ancestral son, Messiah Jesus, would fulfill the perfect faithfulness as God's Holy One who would not see decay (Luke 24:36-44), as "nor will you let your faithful one see decay." -- (Psalm 16:10).
Pastor, you mentioned man's retreat and I just want to let you know how important it is for young man. My nephew 3 fail marriages, converted and attended one. He told me that if he knew what he learned in those teachings, he woud still be married to his 1st wife because now he saw his mistakes. Please, start in the tender age.
Pastor, I need to make a correction. Moses’ fast was replicated again in scripture. Jesus in human form fasted 40 days and 40 nights while being tempted by satan after His baptism.

I will pray for both sides.

The part about Moses' fast could be a hyperbolic mediphor for how he was taking in the Word of God more than food.
Nice preaching

The 613 laws of YHWH are neglected by many of us.
The Exodus conversations don’t go this far. Are they located somewhere else?
