Something I find distinctive about that first track is that many of the sounds feel like the punch through the misty audio very clearly, giving it a very hard hitting, sound. Its a bit of a subtle change when compared to macroblank or HFM, but I think suble changes are what makes barber beats so special.

The market relationships are unclear to me, like in a freshly started WIlliam Gibson novel 😅 But I wish they would playe this at the mall instead of horribad soulful pop warble.
They all plunder lounge/jazz beats found on spotify or youtube, and they repurpose them for the context of vaporwave. It is very low effort, but the artwork surrounding it is neat. the nature of the genre is absurd, but it has an odd atmosphere i cant find in any other music. this music is not meant to make money, but simply to share freely with others. since its all just plundered, its all free to stream and download.
