That Lee kick at the end was real nice
Indeed. That leona stepped up slightly. Broxah kicked her across two teammates (killing one). Q quickly finished off the leona and put broxah in melee range of the last one. A very elegant triple kill.
That Lee Sin game was clean as hell, saying this as a fellow Lee main, beautifully played.
Your lee is by far my favourite champ to see you play. Second is probably Bambi

Jax has counterplay. You meditate when he helicopters and try to time your Q to dodge stun.
A better way to do it is to outrun him during E if your ult is up, and the second he Q jumps you Q his E for a garunteed dodge. If he already used Q then just run out of range. If ult is down then try your best to time Q to dodge E but with less chance of success
I mean, this jax in that fight where mr broxah had 'no counterplay' actually popped his e while q was still available though... and instead of q'ing the cc we try to dodge the stun & get flashed on
Yeah, agreed. Normally on Broxah’s side, but Jax did E early in that particular fight and he could have q’ed it.
@@tonypalumbo5170 in fairness, mostly only Yi mains consider and remember these things in the middle of a fight.
Jax E lasts for 2 seconds and can be reactivated after 1 second to stun.
Master Yi's Q lasts for 0.9 seconds.
If he Q's there too early, Jax can just wait for him to come out of his Q and then stun anyway.
The only way to survive that is predict jax early E recast and Q into it, or only Q after 1.1 seconds to ensure the stun happens after alpha strike ends. If you Q too early, you're dead. If you wait until the Q window but jax decides to stun early, you're dead as well
As broxah said, as long as the Jax has a mouse & keyboard, it's pretty easy to time this right for him. Especially considering this is Master
@@plectro3332 You don't need to predict the Jax early E - you can cast Q during the animation to dodge it before the stun and damage hits you. The timing is tight, but it's absolutely doable if your latency isn't too high.
With that said, IMO the scariest part of the E isn't the stun - it's the fact that he gets to attack you for 2 seconds with zero ability for you to hit him back. You can meditate a bit of the damage, but he's still building passive stacks on you, which makes recouping the lost time difficult, plus you might want to save the meditate for an AA reset.
I generally find the best counterplay to Jax's E is to run out of melee range to waste as much time from the E as possible, and then potentially Alpha Strike back in when the timing is right or in response to an attempted QWER combo from the Jax player.
I think Jax is very much a skill match-up. It was 10 years ago, and it remains that way today. If Yi burns the Alpha Strike poorly, Yi loses. But if Jax burns the E poorly, Jax loses.
You not Q-ing to Jax's E is worse than you Q-ing to Jax, at least in that scenario you have some kind of counterplay
I know its difficult but its still much better than you doing nothing and just letting him get the free kill
In fairness he doesn't play a lot of Yi. A Yi main knows when to hold Alpha Strike as a defensive tool and when to burn Meditate for the attack reset, but there's a lot of intricacies and options in Yi's kit that many people won't ever consider without having played hundreds of games with him. Even the balance team confirmed that Yi is one of the harder champions to play because of the tight timings on his outplay options.
As a master yi main Jax and WW are definitely some of the hardest matchups because they can press e early or hold it. Against a good player there's no chance to time it correctly every time. In my 8 years playing league I have only lost against a rammus as yi once and it was because my team turbo died to every gank. Rammus doesn't counter yi
In my experience since season 2, the champions which really ruin Yi's day are Udyr and Xin Zhao with their guaranteed cc, and Lilia with her movement speed kiting him, even during R.
I'd say Jax is mostly a skill test on whether Yi can dodge the counter strike.Rammus is more of a knowledge test, but newer and more casual players struggle with the march up for good reason.
Broxah youre right he can hold the E, but it last 3.5 seconds, if he doesnt use it in the first 1.5 seconds you can q safely, it will have expired by the time your q ends.

@@wi1h Don't feel stupid. Jax started his E very early and a high elo player should generally know the time for that ability before it goes off automatically. He could have used Q to dodge the stun in that instance, because Yi Q would have outlasted the Jax E right then. His general mindset is correct on the matchup but that doesn't excuse misplays, or abusing when your opponent misplays.
@@SomeonesShadow he could've easily dodged it and he knew it, the reason he missed is because he left bush and lost vision so he couldn't q the stun, in general he's right but that specific instance was a misplay. still dead to tf tho so it's irrelevant.

It's a common strategy to clear red (or blue) last to make the buff last longer.

You lack yi mechanics and knowledge to the point your using e on towers which does nothing as yi vs jax you want to engage him then run away when he uses e then when he qs to you you q most jax release there e as they land but admittedly this mu is pretty awful for both sides if behind worse for yi though .
