Amy & Tammy's journey has been an epic one and today they are two completely different women. Here are 5 important moments from the time when they started out documenting their weight loss journey for 1000-lb Sisters. Enjoy!
Amy lost weight and had a beautiful baby. Tammy gained weight and still seems to not take her situation seriously. Very sad

Unfortunately, I agree.
She is so emotionally hurt, she cannot handle any shame, so she blames others for how she feels. When she is causing her own pain. Unfortunately she won't lose the weight until she seeks therapy to help cope with her self esteem

I don't lack empathy but Tammy really need's to take responsibility for herself. Amy love's her sister but Tammy doesn't seem to care enough for Amy it's like she want's to blame Amy for her shortcoming's and that's not fair she need's to be supportive of Amy like Amy is for her. I wish them both the best.
People who lack empathy dont believe that others can tell how they feel because *they have no idea how others feel*

Tammy needs to go in patient. Seriously 😳 you wouldn’t rely on a anorexic to recover themselves if they were as severe as Tammy, you would put them in a care facility. I know it sounds cruel but at this point it is the only thing I think could save her life
Crazy how Tammy always says Amy “doesn’t know what she’s going through” yea well now you’re going through it alone. When they’re all together Tammy sticks out like a terribly sore thumb

They did this to themselves... it's easier to gain weight than it is to lose weight... they need to deal with the mental issues while eating less and healthier, exercise doesn't hurt either. I lost over 150lbs over 16 years ago and have kept it off while having a baby and going through 2 divorces it's possible you just have to want it more than you do the food!

Tammy needs a therapist to change her whole mindset. She hates herself. She will never tackle the weight until you tackle loving yourself. It's the only way.
I hate how they always try to justify thier obesity as "not as bad as Tammy" it just gives Tammy ammo to throw back at them and justify her codependency "you don't know what it's like..." Etc. All of em are big they all need to change
In the buffet Tammy made Amy get food for her. She is so lazy she won’t even walk over to get her own food.
If i was anywhere that these two were, I'd quietly leave cause i can't deal with people like that. Excuses, attitudes, gluttony, uncleanliness. And the odor of BO. I understand these people may have problems, but most of them just rely too much on others to do everything for them & when you don't assist them, they get too emotional.
I believe gluttony is a sin.

I want to tell Tammy to just for one day eat a little less. Plant a seed of hope! Don’t look at the whole staircase just take the first step. When I say eat a little less I mean a little less don’t eat that bag of chips, don’t eat those cookies, try to drink water instead of a sodie. Just one little thing that you think you can handle, go for it. I promise you the next day will be easier because you planted that one little seed of courage. You’ve got to start small and work your way slowly to a better life. Even if you only lose 1lb. You tried. Maybe you can try again the next day just do one little thing each day like cutting out those cupcakes you want leave em’ they aren’t helping you. I think if you tried just a little bit of something to be healthier you would see a big change in one month but you can’t starve yourself one day and gorge the next day. Focus on letting go of just one thing today, like drink water instead of drinking soda pop. I hope this helps you, Tammy I’m rooting for you. Believe in yourself!!

Straight facts
Tammy most of the time is annoying but when I hear they don’t have friends or how their mom treated them and thinking everyone is watching them- I get her.

It’s all about Tammy. Amy is an absolute sweetheart and will do anything for Tammy then Tammy does a video saying she loves it when she sees Amy get attacked and bullied online. Tammy is a professional victim and nothing is ever her fault. First time she didn’t make weight for surgery she blamed Amy then the 2nd time she blamed Chris for not been there enough. She didn’t blame the 12 packs of chips she eats as a snack or that she ate 32 meals in less than 2 days. I’ll support anyone who asks for help but helps the self as well but people like Tammy expect everything to be done for her then blames everybody but herself when she fails.

And I don't know if others feel the same way but everyone has their own opinion and this is my opinion.
I'm not a prejudiced person,
but the language they use to each other & towards each other is unbelievable,
and to talk that way in front of the baby is even worse.
Constantly listen to Tammy have an excuse about why she is gaining weight or why she isn't losing weight,
is getting very old!!
As for Amy > she's a sweetheart, and her husband is a knight in shining armor to take on the responsibility of hauling Tammy all over creation,

I don’t know why I noticed this, but whenever Tammy wants people to feel bad and have pity over her, she switches into the baby voice. And then whenever she has an attitude she changes into the deep voice. BIG time manipulator.

Amy has lost 100+ pounds while Tammy gained like 50 pounds, but I’m not sure how they are doing within the past month

Amy, i'm so proud of you.
Tammy is afraid of change. Being her size became her comfort zone even though she knows it is dangerous. She probably thinks that she is going to starve herself since that's the only survival skill she knows: eating !! Meanwhile, Amy understands the consequences of her unhealthy lifestyle, she sees that she is heading the same path as her sister, and she is the one who acts as the caregiver to Tammy... probably thinking "who's going to take care of me?" So, she set up her goals to continue being independent and avoid turning into her sister.
Tammy is bitter hateful negative n mean! Her jealousy towards Amy is so obvious its disgusting! And she blames everyone but herself! I love Amy and her positive loving attitude! Family's ungrateful
I kind of think Tammy should have kept working with the hypnotherapist because the hypnotherapist I noticed has a very joyful calming and soothing demeanor about her. And after seeing Tammy's visit with a therapist and how that didn't go so well and looking at how she responded with the hypnotherapist she seemed more happy and positive with the hypnotherapist. I don't know if hypnosis works but I think that lady's demeanor works for a negative person like Tammy.

Amy does understand what Tammy is going through. She’s going through the same thing. Amy is morbidity obese just like Tammy. The difference is that Amy has worked hard to get better and Tammy isn’t trying.
Amy of course doctor Proctor got it on the first try because it's only obviously who the 600 pounder is and who the 400 pounder is duh

In truth we are our own worst enemies, when it comes to how we see ourselves, and yeah, it takes time to gain weight, and it's a battle to lose it. Hiding the emotional pain and covering it with food, it's a vicious circle. I wish both these women much success with their weight loss goals. They are enough, they do have to learn to see themselves that way, and let that emotional healing begin.
I fell like Tammy is making no progress and she cry's and Pitties herself all the time but yet never changes her diet so that's on her.

We’ve seen Amy get at least some progress, but I feel like Tammy hasn’t changed through the whole experience one bit. Well except gaining some weight at some point

Therapist: "To not eat as much?" ~ Nodding, as she herself gulps down a huge slug of whatever it is into her mouth. I noticed the way therapist work on these TV shows is abominable in general...it would take 1,000 years to "get anywhere". I hope real life therapist aren't as bad.
