      The car doesn't even need to be small to have fun. I currently own a 10th gen accord with a 6mt and it's a blast. I even used to own a 2000 isuzu rodeo with a v6 and 5mt. Also a blast. My brother in law has an old m5 with a 6 speed and I don't even need to let you know how fun that one is. It's just the manual alone that makes it fun.

      Even a diesel people mover Transit in Europe was fun to drive thanks for the stick shift. Had it been an automatic, I would've hated every single mile of that.

      aluisious because your average person takes relaxed shifts and the revs not dropping immediately helps smoothen it out. Especially if you are a new manual driver or just not used to the car. For example the problem they have in the video is when they are ripping gears. The car isn't designed to do that. Also this is most definitely not a sports car, just a normal Sentra lol

    The Sentra SE-R from 1991 to 1994 was an amazing car that could rightfully be called a 90s BMW 2002. I looked at a used one that had 'been through the war' as far as owner abuse, and you could still feel the magic underneath.
    Everything since then has been compromised, including this car.

    I ALWAYS leave my rav4 running when I get out if there’s something small in my house that I forgot, like my hat or some extra cash for whatever I’m doing. And the rav4 doesn’t lock up the doors when you’re parked and car’s running.

  • @braddalager576
    @braddalager576 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    As for the door locks check the manual, it is like my 2017 Altima. There is an option in vehicle settings to set it so the doors unlock when shifting into park which would solve the problem of getting out while the car is running. And yes who turns off their car to get the mail if they live in a town house, not me. This is how my 2002 Buick Rendezvous worked. Either unlocked on shifting to park or turning off the car.

    A manual with adaptive cruise?!? You guys have to do a video on that! Does it come to a full stop? And do you clutch in and it brakes itself? Does the system kick you out of a gear if it is too low or high? What is the lowest speed that adaptive cruise can engage? Does it work in all gears except R? What if you are to high gear and your go up a steep hill...does it stall? So many questions!

    • @xfiringsquadx
      @xfiringsquadx 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I don't know the actual answers to your questions however I do own a 2018 Accord that is 6 speed manual with adaptive cruise. All those same thoughts went through my head when I was buying it and honestly, after two years I still don't know what happens in those cases because it never comes up. I only use my cruise when I'm on the freeway and anytime I've needed to slow down lower than about 45 (about the slowest you want to be going in 6th), I'm already using my brakes and pressing in my clutch. That's the same thing I do when I drive automatics with adaptive cruise (minus the clutch part). If it's a major slow down, I'm using my brakes and not relying on sensors for that. I can tell you I did try it in 5th and it worked but there wasn't much reason to cruise in 5th. As far as steep hills, 6th gear has been enough for me so I've yet to be in a situation where it would need to downshift. However, if I'm in a hilly area, I rarely use cruise control because it's not economic or saving me gas in those instances. Adaptive cruise on a manual is refreshingly less complicated than you'd assume.
      Edit: According to my manual, I can set cruise in any gear as long as my speed is above 15mph.
