There are 3 stages to the RWBY Fandom. You've just reached stage 2. 1. Watching the trailers gets someone interested. 2. Episode 8 of Volume 1(the fight with the Nevermore and Deathstalker) gets someone hooked. 3. Finish Volume 3, Welcome to the Fandom.
Well yes that is 1 way! Also like me you could have watched monty's Haloid and the Dead Fantasy series and then find Rooster Teeth and years later freak out when Monty joined them!
12:06 Monty Oum, who voices Lie Ren, joked that when Ren collapsed here it was a reflection of Monty's own exhaustion from finishing this entire battle sequence....hehe
Remember, especially for the first two seasons, there are no unimportant lines. The storytelling is really good at foreshadowing and every word is said for a reason
So, if we look at it, the team leaders were chosen not because they were the strongest (they're not) but because both Jaune & Ruby came up with battle plans on the fly....they can think on their feet, an essential quality for leadership.
27:42 There was an animated film called Hoodwinked. If you take the lumberjack person, make him chibi, give him an angry frowny expression, and still keep his affinity for schnitzel, that's probably professor Port as a child. He was based on the tale of the boy who cried wolf.
I’m late but still I love this series and it’s amazing how Monty sacrificed blood and sweat on this story when Monty passed it was truly heartbreaking so watching this series progress has always been so uplifting for me
Yea, this series is filling a gap for me that I didn't know really existed. I enjoy every episode action packed or not. The more I watch the more I feel the impact of the loss of Monty
Nora Valkyrie - Wields a hammer BUT you won't find out why she is a complete Thor facsimile until Volume 3 when they reveal her Semblance. A little foreshadowing here... Dr. Ooblek (and his green hair) is based on a Dr. Suess story
20:20 you'll be surprised that they made two games of RWBY. One of them is RWBY Grimm Eclipse and the other one RWBY Arrow fell. Both are on the Nintendo switch.
i will just say when you find out what happened to the moon, that is my favourite episode in the series monty was the lead fight choreographer, he basically did the fight scenes by himself while the rest of the team would focus on story and speaking scenes. you should also check out his earlier work called "dead fantasy" i noticed your on episode 5/6 but nevermore fight normally doesn't take place until episode 8. so where your watching them must have already added those shorter episodes together. they where crazy short like 5 minute episodes so there are a few rwby games, the first being "rwby; grimm eclipse" which is an action-adventure game like DMC or Dynasty Warriors, it was very low budget as it was self produced by rooster teeth, the 8 playable characters had some crazy combos but ultimately the enemy ai and map design was very lacking. Blaz Blue ultimate tag battle is a fighting that appeared at EVO for a few years and the rwby girls where much a part of the meta. The new one called rwby; arrowfell which i personally haven't played though it looks like a metroidvania/2d platformer
20:34 there are a few RWBY video games. Grimm Eclipse is a hack and slash game set between volumes 2 and 3, and Arrowfell is a platformer set during Volume 7.
I'm sorry if you've already answered this, but do you plan on reacting to the soundtracks at the end of each Volume? They're always very well done and add a lot of insight to the characters and their emotions/thoughts!
If you want a RWBY game look into Grimm Eclipse. It’s not quite what you’re looking for but it is a hack and slash RWBY game that started out Fan made but instead of getting copyright claimed they hired the dude and funded the full production.
I really like the "I always wanted bunkbeds as a kid" line from Weiss. It's a good way of telling us that Port, while he definitely had good points, didn't hit the nail on the head 100%. Yeah, Weiss certainly grew up in luxury and was left wanting for very little, but she didn't have EVERYTHING she wanted just handed to her. It also serves to forshadow that perhaps her connection with her family isn't as good as she'd like it to be.
The answer to the question about the moon is definitely spoilers. You won't be disappointed when you get your answer, but it's definitely spoiler territory.
You’ll have so much fun with it! Some people don’t enjoy the show after Volume 3, but I think the show just gets even better. It evolves and changes with each volume, and the characters all go through periods of growth. And the music is epic!
Still weird seeing these labelled as the wrong chapter numbers, but I suppose it does still make sense... You did get the names of the episodes right still though... I think Monty was the creator for the overall story and concept, which some of the others helped fill in the gaps with him... I think he animated most or all of the fights for volumes 1 and 2... I think he died during work on volume 3 and given that the quality of the fights in that volume don't seem quite up to the same standard all the time as the first two volumes (although they are still pretty good and volume 3 makes up for it in other ways) , I suspect he might have only worked directly on two or three of them, if even that many, before dying... I don't know for sure though... There's also the potential that the amount of fighting lead to a lower quality... He was the lead animator and also voices Ren for volumes 1 and 2. For volume 3, Monty's brother took over for Ren's voice... But fun fact, the voice actor for Jaune is one of the main writers for the show too, so it's not just Monty getting extra involved... One of the other writers has a character later too, although he's not as cool as Jaune, obviously lol. Don't worry about the moon, there are bigger issues ^_^;;
Volume 3 was mostly finished but not out yet when Monty passed. Volume 4 is when the new work without Monty began. Parts of his work were still included in future volumes as he had scattered ideas left behind that the team didn't know where to put them but most of the content was freshly made up.
Yeah, but both of them have their respective times to play Grimm eclipse should probably be played at least after the volume two and arrowfell should probably be played after volume seven
I've been confused about the episode numbers for a bit. I'm fairly certain Players and Pieces is episode 8. How are you listing it as chapter 5? My guess is that you've been viewing parts I and II of episodes as single episodes instead of separate.
There's a game called RWBY: Grimm Eclipse that's almost exactly what you're describing, but you shouldn't start it until the end of either this season or next, I can't remember which.
oke white rclaok in the song is summer rose ruby"s mom who is dead and phyra is achilles jaune ofcourse joan of arc indeed ren is mulan and nora is indeed thor but there only based on them believe me there is not alot of the char that comes back
It is not technically a spoiler to say that a god blew up the moon. Literally anything surrounding the decision to do that is a spoiler. Il lave that in the hands of whoever it is that's going through these before you see them.
There is a game called rwby the grim campaign is dope 4 player game multiple levels and boss battles *I was mistaken @kitsyX got it right the name is Grimm eclipse
those of us who know will not spoil it I hope though some in the fandom might get toxic with me just for saying something like you have five volumes until you learn about the moon that is all I'm saying

2. Episode 8 of Volume 1(the fight with the Nevermore and Deathstalker) gets someone hooked.

This sums it up perfectly.
Yup pretty much 😅
Took the words right out of my mouth
Well yes that is 1 way! Also like me you could have watched monty's Haloid and the Dead Fantasy series and then find Rooster Teeth and years later freak out when Monty joined them!
@@nathanclarke2777 I most definitely relate to that.
12:06 Monty Oum, who voices Lie Ren, joked that when Ren collapsed here it was a reflection of Monty's own exhaustion from finishing this entire battle sequence....hehe
He must've put so much into it🔥
It’s so good seeing someone start their rwby journey but one thing is for certain, you. Are. Not. Ready.
no one ever is! ...and i mean NO ONE!
They're never ready
I have never seen a show with battle design and choreography as this one. Monty went hard, may he rest in peace.
He really did no show matches it
Remember, especially for the first two seasons, there are no unimportant lines.

Very true, and they listen to their teammates and see the usefulness in them
You know it's gonna go down when the character's theme song plays in a fight.

I promise you. all your questions will be answered in time just be patient. I will not say any more on the subject.
I shall be patient

I forgot how many references to their own properties RT put into the early seasons.😂
The Achieve Men refers to The Achievement Hunters show.
Nora Valkyrie - Wields a hammer BUT you won't find out why she is a complete Thor facsimile until Volume 3 when they reveal her Semblance.
A little foreshadowing here... Dr. Ooblek (and his green hair) is based on a Dr. Suess story
Reggie: notices the moons broken.
Chat: upupup! 6 volumes too early!
What happened to the moon is heavy spoilers for Volume 6, so you don’t need to worry about it now
Gotcha
Thanks for bringing the 2 for 1s
20:20 you'll be surprised that they made two games of RWBY.
One of them is RWBY Grimm Eclipse and the other one RWBY Arrow fell. Both are on the Nintendo switch.
That's dope from an indie animation to gaming. I love to see it
Keep sharing your thoughts man. It’s why we’re here.
Always will and I'm glad yall appreciate when I do 🙏🏿

Agreed.
I watched dead fantasy recently, and Monty does fight choreography like how I imagine it should be. He's crazy talented
20:34 there are a few RWBY video games. Grimm Eclipse is a hack and slash game set between volumes 2 and 3, and Arrowfell is a platformer set during Volume 7.
There is a few things Fate and RWBY have in common. One thing is: Don't ask about the moon.
33:28 Keep that in mind. Do not forget he said that.
Yes, I hope he does. That line is very important later on.
Roger that I will
The moon thing will be explained in vol 6. Just give it time, you'll be hooked by vol 3, I can guarantee it. W video! Can't wait for more Rwby!
I'm sorry if you've already answered this, but do you plan on reacting to the soundtracks at the end of each Volume? They're always very well done and add a lot of insight to the characters and their emotions/thoughts!

I like that I'll probably play it on the gaming channel
Lol the Moon
Boy is that a story 😅
There is actually a game for Rwby that you switch characters constantly but it takes place in volume 7.
There's also a game that takes place around season 3 I think?
I really like the "I always wanted bunkbeds as a kid" line from Weiss. It's a good way of telling us that Port, while he definitely had good points, didn't hit the nail on the head 100%. 5:52: I forgot how quotable this show is. 😂
All I know is that I want to finish watching the series. Don't know what is ahead but Rwby still got my heart so I hope it is not too bad
You’ll have so much fun with it! Some people don’t enjoy the show after Volume 3, but I think the show just gets even better. It evolves and changes with each volume, and the characters all go through periods of growth. And the music is epic!
Players and Pieces usually hooks most reactors.....that final battle against the Deathstalker & Nevermore is just so EPIC.
You will find out how the moon got to be like that in Volume 6.
I’m loving your reactions rn you def underrated and you deserve some more love
Your instincts for the plot of this show are surprisingly accurate.....I love to see a good analysis
There is a reason the moon is shattered. If you keep watching the series you’ll learn why. It’s too much of a spoiler to explain why though.
Honestly the actual reason was kinda lame to me but it’s still such cool imagery
The moon is heavy spoilers, but its been like that for a long time. It won't be explained until season 5.
Roger that so just keep watching
Volume 6 not 5.
13:14 ngl i was GEEKING at this moment

Chaosking's got your spoilers and both games are canon however neither game is amazing.
32:17 Always felt Weiss was a bit out of line here. Ruby was clearly doing something amazing to be two years ahead to be at Beacon
Hey man, Weiss is very out of line most of this volume. It's all good. We love her for it in retrospect :)
@@undeathghost5627 no question.

Yea, some episodes were combined
There is a rwby game you might be looking for. Grimm eclipse. It’s more of a mob style beat ‘em up, but I’m sure it’s what you’re looking for
Casey Williams 🎉
bro that collection is something i aspire to have lol 😆
And so it begins 😂
There's a game called RWBY: Grimm Eclipse that's almost exactly what you're describing, but you shouldn't start it until the end of either this season or next, I can't remember which.
Roger that I'm not rushing
Grimm Eclipse is set between volumes 2 and three and is considered canon. No real spoilers in the game if you were to play.
@@wbrennan2253 Yup, good catch. I was typing from memory and only found out I was wrong after.
You see the new Season 1 Hazbin Hotel trailer?!
Yessir it looks great
A rRWBY game that plays like Final Fantasy 9 would be great.
Moon explanation is in volume 6 😂
The mic. was a bit loud in this reaction.
I got you, its cause my settings got reset that day
15:30 So, it begins...
Moon is HEAVY spoilers but i guarantee you wouldnt guess it if you tried. Whatever you think it couldve been, think crazier
