    General theme of Comments section:
If any portion of the interview isn't favorable to Trump it is biased or fake news.
Meanwhile the Steve bannon interview was great

To anyone who cares....I have really been enjoying these interviews. I lean left but I am learning some stuff from the more right side interviewers. Any Right people out there enjoying some of the more liberal interviews? What I have mostly seen is pretty strong judgement from the Right people to the more liberal interviews. thoughts appreciated.

    • @NathansHVAC

Glad to see you even caring enough to be open minded. The evangelical religion of the left forbids hearing both sides because of blasphemy. When a conservative hears these interviews, we wonder where the hard questions are for the left. This is a typical kangaroo court. The left controls all the questions, but doesnt ask anything that goes against their agenda.
      1) how do open borders work in a welfare state?
      2) why did your dads company cnn use obama picutes of kids in cages and say it was trump?
      3) when you say amnesty reduces immigration, what study are you referring to?
      4) who is paying for the logistics of the caravans? There are many trucks.
      5) how does open borders benefit blue collar.
The corporate left is very slanted to their agenda. I will eventually watch the documentary that cherry picks the most biased results from the most biased questions and probably come to the same conclusion. The internet has given power to the little guy. All news is fake until proven as truth. That is on both sides. But, the fake news is at least 4x greater from the left. Just look at the number of retraction.

It's sad the only response to this is someone basically saying "no." That being said, I didn't find this interviewee that compelling either. Maybe there would be more of a chance for a response on a different left-leaning interview (the Ben Rhodes interview in the Great Divide series comes to mind).

This guy is described in the video as an Immigration Reporter for the New Yorker. Wonder which way his stories were slanted?
@ 54:50 he says "and obviously Family Separation is unlike anything we've ever seen, in terms of just the absolute human horror of it..."

These Zero Tolerance interviews have been outstanding in my opinion...and then there is this one. The other interviews were capturing real, transparent conversations with people who are obviously expert in the events and circumstances which developed to create the current state of border issues. This interview however captures a spewing conflation of Blitzer's own limited opinion which appears to be based in headline-speak. Absolute rubbish.

I was enjoying the Frontline "Zero Tolerance" series, until this slanted hit piece. Just imagine calling the people working with Obama, "those guys" or as Jonathan wardled, "the cabal" and the "Far Right". All terms used in the pejorative , which turned this conversation into little more than a brushstroke of yellow. Really, is this how objective journalism manifests itself on the fashionable Left?

    • @Eyesayah
      @Eyesayah 5 ปีที่แล้ว

Like yourself this was the first of the episodes of this series that I have seen that included somewhat unpalatable material. I'm not in favor of transferring 'First we kill all the lawyers' over to journalists however. On the freedom-equality spectrum he appears to me leaning more to the latter. An elite, married with a child, a Fulbright scholar and the son of Wolf; I'm for his intelligent contributions. I think he's is no more correct than others about the morality of political actions. Obviously, some of his assertions/assumptions fly in the face of common sense. As other journalists, he makes a contribution to our knowledge of history. I'd say Frontline would probably defend itself by saying that others with opposing views have been given their platform. I prefer that we keep talking, although preferably not about civil war.

Blitzer states that family separation is “unlike anything we’ve ever seen” - his understanding of American history is sorely lacking - during slavery we separated black families and after we subjugated Native peoples we separated their families.
Sessions reminds me of Cheney, who justified torture utterly without apology -- we’ve been here before .... many times ... many, many times ...
Ok, so this is a cynical post, a deeply cynical post ... apologies ... my Mexican grandmother was illegal, and my mom is Navajo, and so this is personal ...
