This is a great track. Though I always wonder what the Spanish guy is saying in the introduction. Perhaps something along the lines of 'Kevin Ayers fucked John Cale's wife!' But both of them put it behind them and played professionally together. Thanks for uploading!
Ayers..wow...one of the early glampunks doing that same kind of weird 'non-musical' monotone rock that Lou Reed and the Velvets (and later Roxy Music) did...but, as always, looking far prettier than Lou or Brian Ferry ever did! xoxoxo
Glampunk! isn't that an oxymoron. Kevin and Lou were doing their music a decade before anyone was referring to that noise as Punk rock ,as if by association with talent Punk is made to seem more legitimate, worthy of being called music. It's degrading to these artists to slander their good names so far after the fact.
tough times
As of May 3 2007, and anyone get this to play or has Google deleted it and left the link up here to frustrate us?
Please try and advise. Thanks.
He's like a British Warren Zevon ...

He's simply intoducing the guest stars taking part in the show
That was 30 years ago when Ayers, Cale, Nico and Eno did their major collaboration. They both probably remember that awkwardness only vaguely .
I Love this! porca merda!
Strange comments on here.Anyway, does anyone know who that girl is playing keys and singng?
Based on who was playing with Kevin Ayers at the time, I'd guess Zanna Gregmar
