Actually, they used to run on an old "precursor" of Kontakt (Kompakt, to be precise). Now they run on their own engine "Play Engine", which is largely used by EWQL for all their libraries.

Hmm the Gen 4 remake should be 1 game with all mythical Pokémon like Darkrai, Shaymin, Manaphy, and Arceus being non dlc in game content that's only accessible post game and the only way to get Arceus is the Azure flute along with Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina in your party. Plus I feel the mystery dungeons like Temporal Tower and Spacial Rift should be actual places in the Gen series to get Dialga and Palkia, with temporal tower existening deep within the dimension of Time and Spacial Rift the dimension of Space as for Arceus the center of the Pokémon universe since it's GOD. As for Giratina something like this should be its transformation with this theme and since Giratina is the Pokémon DEVIL have it nearly cause the apocalypse and have Dialga and Palkia be the only ones that can stop it.
