Peter, thank you for taking the time to do these tutorials, they have been so helpful. I may have missed it somewhere but I would like to queue in and out the singers and add vocal instructions within the song while it’s being played. Do you have instruction video for this. Thank you
Not possible with most of the available iPads. Realtime time stretching and pitch shifting needs too much computing power for 12 tracks running at the same time (during crossfades).
Hey Peter. Great job on the videos. Would you do a video on how to transfer the music and lyrics from one iPad to another iPad? I know you do this in the tutorial but I'm scared to death of doing something wrong and losing all my music. If my 1st iPad crashes I would like to have my 2nd iPad for a back up. Thanks and keep up the great work. Stage Traxx is the best app for performing musicians I have found. Harley
Yes, backups is already on my todo list but I am currently full speed in developing version 3.6 and there will be something new in that area so I guess I will do this video in summer when version 3.6 is near.
Hi Peter. Thanks for your amazing app and tutorials! I’ve only just discovered Stage Traxx 3 after only occasionally using the original app (the lack of the chord transposing feature was something I needed. I’m so happy you’ve added it now). I’d now like to import all my ST tracks into ST3. Is there a way this can be done without the use of iTunes? Also, is there a way to back up my ST tracks into an iPad Files folder so that they can be imported into ST3? If I may suggest something for you/your developers to consider in future; with the Queue feature, instead of only displaying the changing number of songs in the icon on the Queue tab, perhaps a split screen option showing the songs being selected on one side and the queue list showing the newly added songs on the other would be helpful. Keep up the great work!
Moving from ST2 to ST3 without iTunes is only possibly if you used Local Files in Stage Traxx. The migration is described here: stagetraxx.com/user-guide/first-steps/#migrating-from-version-2 Backups: Yes, create a full backup and move it into any Files folder you like. See here: stagetraxx.com/user-guide/backups/#create-a-backup
Sorry for the ultra late answer. I have somehow missed this comment. You don't need iTunes to import songs. In fact I prefer just copying files into Stage Traxx. And backup files can be stored anywhere on your iPad or a computer.
@@stagetraxx Thanks, Peter. I keep having trouble importing files individually from Dropbox. I can usually get one or two to import, but after that, the Import > Dropbox window doesn’t display my Dropbox contents. Then, sometimes when I try importing files individually from my iPad Files folder, the files appear that they are downloading but don’t appear in ST. Is there a way I can run/sync ST3 on my PC, aside from via iTunes?
@@freddygsolo The Dropbox integration into the Files app (which Stage Traxx uses for imports) is a bit shaky. What you can do is download the songs directly in the Dropbox app and then open (share) them with Stage Traxx. This will work a bit better. Generally it is recommended to explicitly download files you want to import in the Files (or Dropbox) app and them import them into Stage Traxx.
@@stagetraxx That worked for me, Peter. Thanks. I also found that by opening the files in my other backing track player (AnyTune Pro+) and using its 'Open-in' (Share/Export) function is an even more convenient process to import tracks into ST3. I simply split the iPad display with ST3 on one side showing the tracks I already had (and what were needed to import) and ATP+ displayed on the other side. Hopefully, that method will work for other ST3 users without having to deal with the glitches using Dropbox.
I just use the big song list for my gigs in most cases, would it be possible to add the swipe one off autoplay button in this section rather than having to open the lyrics screen to do it?
The song list is the only list where you can not enable autoplay as this is a feature of a playlist item. I could mabye enable the autoplay button for the current track but I will need to take a look at that. Would it work for you to use the lyrics screen and just increase the width of the playlist so that it fills most of the screen?
I just bought this and I would like to download my playlist from my iTunes playlist into this device how do I do that I have multiple playlist that I want to import in this app which is the reason why I bought it
is there a way to stop a song when it ends without it moving and playing the next song in the queue to give me time to talk to the audience between songs ? would be a great help
Great program, but I just don’t understand the Benefit of using the queue … for my needs, I can do everything the queue can do from within the playlist Plus I can do it on the fly.
In that case just ignore the advanced queue mode :). That's why it is a feature that is turned off by default. If you don't work with playlists and decide on the fly which songs to play next, the queue mode can be very useful.
@@stagetraxx Aha! OK, so Queue is there for users that do NOT compile playlists - OK, I did not realise that, and I see that I am not the only one. Now that makes sense. Thanks :)
Been using this app for 12 months now and it’s absolutely brilliant. Thank you
It is a brilliant app ! Please continue updating ! Thanks a lot !
peter you answered the question i was just about to ask great app so far keep it up

Well you need to do that in a DAW and add these queues as a seperate track into Stage Traxx.
Thanks Peter, love the software. Is there any way to modify tempo within a multi tack song? Would be a great feature.
Not possible with most of the available iPads. Realtime time stretching and pitch shifting needs too much computing power for 12 tracks running at the same time (during crossfades).
Hi Peter, thanks for the videos but I get a bit confused with the queue Vs playlists. Probably because I have not identified a need for it yet.
The queue is basically a living, constantly chaning playlist.

Did you watch the introduction video? It explains how to import songs: th-cam.com/video/UTNrbxgmqPw/w-d-xo.html
Hi. Is it possible to add a vocal queue to a track? So vocalists come in on time?
When you use multitrack songs, you can add a track with your cues.
is there a way to stop a song when it ends without it moving and playing the next song in the queue to give me time to talk to the audience between songs ? would be a great help

This app can't split or cut track .
No, Stage Traxx is no audio editor.
