I'm from Kerala. The Hindu wedding ceremonies and attitudes are almost same every where in the world... Even in Bali Indonesia. Nice. proud to be a Hindu.
I just discovered this in March 2021. It was my first experience seeing a Hindu wedding. The bride is charming, elegant and beautiful with a wonderful smile. She received all her guests with a warm smile and polite conversation as she accepted their gifts and presents as she offered them something to eat. She was gentle with the children and she kindly honoured them to take a photograph with her. Too many rituals. I think that the purpose of the rituals is to strengthen the marriage commitment. They rubbed curry all over her face and then they all poured a jug of water to wash off the curry. The sweet girl had a cold and probably was not feeling well and they were wetting her with so much water. She is a treasure. I wonder if she is on facebook I would like to see what she looks like today three years later. Congratulations to the young couple. I wish you a long life with lots of children, in good health and prosper in peace. I have never been any where near India, as my people left a long time ago, some people say that I am Punjabi but I really don't know what that is, my mother and grandmother used to speak Hindi and I speak Hinglish, but I am one hundred percent Indian. I looked up Assam on the map and it seems like a nice place at the base of the Himalaya mountains. It must be beautiful. The curry looks good. I would like to know what life is like there in Assam. I am from Ohio USA. Thanks for posting this video it took me far back to my roots to who I am. I think her name is BANANI.
Respected sir... You are really great. ..! In India there are so many languages.so many customs,,so many religions..etc.etc. But we love each other. Main skeleton of the rituals are more or less same. In the beginning and the middle she is very joyful. But near the closure she is crying..since she is leaving his native people, relatives, parents, friends etc and going to his husbands place. it may be of 1 km or 100 km or 1000 km, whatever it may be . But her love is pure. isn"t it..?. As yourself I also respect her love. May God bless her with wealth, children, finance, courage like 16 kind of wealth s as indicated in ancient Tamil scripts. ...!! ....Thank you sir. with respectful regards....Padmanabhan. Chennai.Tamilnadu. India.
@@padmanabhank3621 She is a sweet soul. She is humble kind and accommodating and gentle to all her guest who attended her wedding. She honoured her mother in law by touching her feet. We never see these things in today's world. I wonder if the marriage was arranged by the parents, as she never looked at the husband to be at any time during the marriage ceremony and they did not smile. I wondered if she met him or knew him before the wedding day. At the end they did stand together and smiled as a couple. At first she was all smiles, and she has a lovely smile with that red lipstick, and red and gold sari with blue and green sparkles, she was awesome. I noticed that she reached down and kissed his feet. What an awesome girl. If I was marrying her I would have knelt down and kissed both her feet and honoured her also. Maybe they should add this as a new ritual, as she will give him, through her travail, her presents, his children and posterity. At the end she was sad and crying, she was graduating from being a young woman in her parents home to become a mother and wife, and a new life as a wife and a mother and onward, away from the protective care of her parents to strive on her own to make her own world, so I can't blame her for being sad and crying. And the music adds to the sadness of the moment of the farewell. As I said before she is a treasure, and I hope her husband would cherish her, love her, and her children. Her presents to him. Thanks for your comment and be kind to each other. Where I live about three kilometers from Wright State University, which is part of the State of Ohio University system, and there are many students from India where they study medicine and engineering, and nearby is a fairly large Hospital called the Raj Indu hospital, and the Shri Indian grocery store where I get my flavours of India. Apparently she is a school teacher as she is so accommodating to the children. India is the largest democracy. It is the melting pot of people, culture, traditions, customs and rituals. People of other countries ran to India to be free and they added to the diversity of the Indian lifestyle. The main vein as you say the skeleton of the culture is the same. My people lived in India for over 2500 years. But now I understand that I am Semitic and an Israelite from the middle east. My people ran to India to escape captivity and most likely changed their names to blend into their new home country. So my real name is not Jagroop as I would have an Israelite name but I do not know what it is at this time. I have Hindu, Muslim and Christian relatives. There are many Hindu Israelites in India and when they learn who they are, and they eventually will pack up and find their way back home. I never knew that Assam existed until I saw that wedding of the girl in the red sari. The girls are awesome pretty. I been watching different people and culture and how they live in all the world and that is how I discovered Assam. I hope you all can get rid of the cast system and allow every Indian to be and Indian and to be as good as any Indian that ever was and to treat all alike. I wish you all well and be kind to yourself and to each other. The ladies were elegantly dressed in their attractive saris and looking their best. The saris were on parade. The music was a delight the same flute music as the bride entered in her green and gold sari played as she left her home to enter the white car and leave her home for the last time to enter the white wagon which took her her to begin her journey as a wife. All so beautiful.
Since I discovered this wedding I have viewed some Assamese and other Hindu weddings. Weddings are all about the bride. It her big and grandest day. This young lady is the best of them all, and there are some beautiful brides, but she takes the cake , the icing and the cherry on top. She has a sweet spirit about her. Like I said she is a treasure.
So beautiful rituals , hindhu marraige itself is like a celebration 🥳🥳🥰🥰😘, bride is so cute and at bidai time 😢😢😢😢every girl will go through this .. happy married life both of you
Very charming video of an assamese wedding ceremony, as an Assam born person I feel this occasion very heartiest staying long from Assam & it made me remember about my young days in Assam, God bless you all.
aapko aisa aaj ka din mein lag Raha hai lekin aaj se 7 8 sal pahle himesh reshmiya ne Assam wale ko jungali kaha Tha bahut bura laga Ham logon ko thi ke sach mein hamara aasan bahut Sundar hai bahut beautiful hai theek hai
Very elaborated wedding video. Thanks for this. Most of the rituals are much similar to south except juroon and south indians tie mangalya which is the most imp part of wedding. Very happy to see the traditions. Indian culture and traditions should flourish.
Whatanice & Beatiful wedding ceremony, embracing their old cultures, For the groom and his very beatiful bride, may GOD BLESS YOU AND shower you with abundant blessings and a very happy life up to the limit of your life. Watching from MANILA PHILIPPINES SHOUT OUT "KUCINA MAMA RECIPE" AND "ONDONG" VLOGGS. THANK YOU.
I am Indian, I like the Philippines its culture and its people, very simple life and very friendly people, so nice. Asian cultures are more like the same. It doesn't matter which part of Asia, Asian people are generally very good.
wow!!!! Assamese are looking so much like us only (south indian), happy to see their tradition, it feels like ours. and the bride is so gorgeous. happy married life.
i am bengali but i like assames people.their cultures are not far different from us. the girl is really nice.i am from cooch behar in west bengal...joy ramkrishna....
O my God this just remind me of my friend's sister marriage in 2016. I ( we ) were in IIT Guwahati. Half of class were from North India, Two from South India, one maharashtrian, he invited whole class. Then we arranged mini bus and went to Nagaon from Guwahati. It was really nice to see different cultures. It was totally different from band, baja, barat type marriages of north India, but enjoyed a lot.
