just play the puma at 10.0, the spikes add nothing because they are far too inconsistent to be an extra 0.7 BR.

yeah put it max at 10.3. at 10.7 the "additional pewpews" are just been "eaten up" by the uptier tanks. at 10.7 u get basically only to 11.7, so every match is basically a full uptier with it.
Spikes irl have a SACLOS guidence mode. Meaning they could be good atgms in game but gaijin decides gimmicks are better than gameplay.
Most people use it in 11.7 lineup anyway

Tho both it and the KF-51 should be 10.3 at best
Play it like the regular puma. Big open maps, scout for your team, get the occasional kill, lots of assists. The spikes work well against helis.
10.0 vehicle at 10.7 with useless missiles

Important thing to know... Spikes has a lot to do with how and where you hit the other vehicle... Vilkas feels like it has better spike because it shoots them upwards...
You can do the same with the Puma if you just look up before you shoot... The spike are far from useless and it's most fun and cheeky way to get free kills if you know how to use them other than just fire them away for no reason at all
It’s nice as a support vehicle on bigger maps. The Spikes while inconsistent are good enough against hull down light tanks and for some occasional MBT/Heli kills and the 30mm is good against hovering helicopters and lights that try to run through the open.
I find that the Spike LR2s are extremely effective against helicopters. I always have issues locking onto helicopters with IR missiles due to how Gaijin has implemented throttle and heat, but the Spikes have no issues locking onto helicopters that are more than 5km away. It'll just take a while until they reach the heli at that point.
The fact that the Bagel is still better than both Puma’s is crazy to me. Why is it that every autocannon tank in this game is twice as bad as the 2s38 but is always the same BR or higher than the 2s38? Oh yeah, Russian bias.

As someone who has the 2S38? I have better games in my German BMP1...
Spikes are still unreliable
All of them are now. I just tried using the Tiger UHT recently, and PARS missiles are beyond useless. They won't even hold track half the time, and when they do, it still misses or hits something useless like a track or dead space.
Try launching them more upwards. I've heard that it makes them more reliable because they hit more top down.
8:50 they bring them to top tier because Germany doesn't have 10.7 lineup you basically have to bring it into 11.7

the spike is technically stinger strap on a 10.0 PUMA and up BR it to 10.7 because they think those Spike would 1 shot a T-90 or something. it just better off using SPIKE on heli than a tank

They either need to give it 4 more missiles and leave it at 10.7 or lower it to 10.3 and give it 2 more. 4 is not enough to justify 10.7
AV-8NA review before anniversary sale please. I absolutely despise playing air and refuse to go above 8.0 but i need a better cas option tham my a10a early im getting clapped just as i spawn nowadays.
It's kinda like the AJS37 where they should just lower it to 10.3 because almost no one is gonna use them otherwise and they're not gonna be OP at that BR anyways.

I love the shroud around the barrel. The Bkan has something similar and im not sure what it's for besides looking cool. Perhaps a heatsink or additional protection for more fragile barrels? I've noticed the Bkan barrel has a tendency to crack like softball candy in icewater

Worse because the spikes has to be aimed upwards before you shoot to be consistent...
But the survivability of the puma is way better

I feel bad for you. Russian ifvs kinda suck, the only good ones are in the premium section.
Bru the lack of protection on them makes the annoying af to play. The firepower is good but the fact that auto cannon rounds are faster than your missile and can easily pen you is really a problem once you are 1km out. On the other side your auto cannon rounds are ok against some light stuff frontally but not everything can be killed by that. Also shrapnel is really bad for you in the 2M.
Decide once you get there. The Puma slaps if played right in the right map and have solid protection from everything other than APFSDS.

this thing is the same BR as the Hungarian KF41, despite it being a much more survivable vehicle.

The Puma has vastly superior protection against HEATFS shells. Can even withstand 30mm shells and has an unmaned turret.
The KF41 has has none of these. At best it gets an active protection system that DOESNT work.

@@wifi_soldier5076you probably never ever played PUMA. Surviveable? Since when? Most of the time you get one shoted. Yeah, it got protection against HEAT but that doesn't matter since 99% of enemies will use APDSFS. The only thing that is good is unmanned turret and separated ammo from crew. It's a good vehicle but certainly not very surviveable.
