There is far too much beautiful mountain country in Australia that is privately owned. And pasture full of cattle may look nice, but is essentially ecologically sterile land. Too much magnificent forested mountain plateau country in south-east Qld and northern NSW has been cleared for livestock grazing... I wish I could have seen it in its former glory before European settlement.

I have similar thoughts. Would be great to be able to go back in time and see what the land would have looked like in its pristine natural state
