I just watched this for the first time a few days and I can't forget the beautiful sound that brother Tyson is making on the Hammond out of my mind. I hear it day and night. I had to post it on my facebook page. This is gifted smooth!! Listen to the chops and smooth musical transitions and interpretations of the music. Expert combination of playing the song and playing along with the song.
Boy ya'll got a NICE SOUND. Everybody stayin in their lane and KILLIN IT at it. Drummer got licks. organist killin and bass ridin it. Love the video, KEEP PLAYN
Jason has played for Kurt Carr, plays for smokie norful, and is a Known COGIC musician. He also plays classical and teaches piano too. jason i believe is 31 or 32. he is a known chicago prodigy
Modulated and kept it there in A natural...Loved every bit of it! There are some ridiculous chord patterns going on in there - the way Jason had some fun and worked it effortlessly! Those movements were clever, smooth and all...Serious chops...never disappoints...amazing...
i met this guy several times and he is VERY HUMBLE and relaxed. I love his approach to this instrument. He deserves recognition for this. hIs persona is so cool and chill as was said in one of the posts. GOTTA be honest though, Organists sometimes HAVE to run bass cause SOME bass players DONT RETAIN there parts. Im jus sayin. If bassists would REHEARSE AND practice they will not have to be DOUBLED. Im Jus Sayin.
I had a chance to meet Jason @ West Angeles' Christmas at the Cathedral. This dude is really cool and we talked for a good minute. It was Jason, Mike & I having casual conversation. It was tight to be talking to two of my fave keyboardists!!!!
Played at my wedding at the age of 17... Was unreal then.... Its true....what these guys do in "practice" dwarfs their "gametime" performance... Disclaimer...never am I slighting Jason's anointing, just compressing my experiences into a simple statement.... Awesome...
Wow... I guess you can say this is my introduction to this organist. I'm definitely searching youtube for more him. As an organist myself there's not too many musicians I care to convert into mp3 for my ipod but this cat is "worthy". Lol.
Definitively distinctive. This folks is a gifted young brother, I just wish the recording had more the the low end so we could hear the color and tambour of the chords with bass. And yes a commenter made reference to the fact that he's not stepping on the toes of a bass player, very, very key for authentic keyboard players. Great stuff Tyson! -respect, educapro.
Looking at this you would swear you studied J.S. Bach's Toccata, Fugues, and Inventions. You have some classical ideas in there. You are one of the best Gospel organist I have seen in a while.
I think I've listened/watched this video too many times. I really really enjoy it though. SMH. That lil phrase at 1:16 was just cool. 1:35 came from the gut on de cool. The flurry at the end of 3:04 was schweet! Great job JT!
Patricia Benton also...cory may not be the best. You have Quennel Bask in and Travis eagles out there....oh Wendell Lowe and Mike B real and Leonard razor....many great ones out there
Jason tyson and rodney east are my favorite organist. Yall sleep on curtis lindsay and brian lofton danny wearing contrell jenkins them cats never get mentioned

He makes it seem so easy
Excellent. So clean. How much do musicians like this get paid to play for renowned gospel artists? I have always wondered.
Excellent organist and great Hammond Organ!

The actual song has a boring chord structure. He brought it to life!!!!!!!
dprice198 everyone has their own style of playing a song. You don’t have to play the song like the next person
are you high?
@@darryladams6780 it's typical congressional song chords. No matter how you cut it.

Wow!!!! He's good. I always thought Corey Henry was the best I've ever heard, but not any more.
Patricia Benton lol this guy Has nothing on Cory ,Cory is Still top 1
Theory wise...he cant touch Cory...but he plays the way every church would want their organist to play.
Patricia Benton also...cory may not be the best. You have Quennel Bask in and Travis eagles out there....oh Wendell Lowe and Mike B real and Leonard razor....many great ones out there
Patricia Benton and a personal favorite from CT (where im from) mike Davis
At this level of competence there's no such thing as better, only different.
he just does it so easy...gosh!
There's nothing like the sound of a Hammond B3! Every church should have one.
