my dragon just shed his chest and back and face, and looked really miserable. well, when he realized what I was doing, he would wait for me to get a piece, and then move his body away from mine, and peel himself! it was VERY clearly him using me to get it off him and not him just running away. and these videos are very satisfying to watch!
That's awesome that you're dragging is able to figure that out and believe me this is the same as them rubbing it off on stuff without the chance of poking themselves in the eye or hurting themselves or getting stuck shed which then becomes impacted so good job and stay rad
I think a lot of people over react when it comes to people helping with shedding. Sometimes it looks like the beardie wants help because its stuck on them. The owner knows when to stop if its uncomfortable for the beardie.
I feel like for beardies its worse cuz it gets stuck on their spikes and their tanks dont always have stuff to help like bushes and plants and things to rub against to help the shed loosen up, so they need a helping hand

I have an iguana… he’s never shed that thick of a skin but that was soooo satisfying!!! I try to mist mine. And I have a baby pool lol bc he doesn’t fit in the tub…. I peel him only when I can tell he’s super annoyed and like banging into his enclosure. But this was def satisfying lol

For these two, human intervention is required. I am uncertain if bearded dragons or other pet reptiles have been selectively-bred in this manner.

Well tbh these aren't filmed by me I deal with creators and make a compilation, because for some reason these videos click the algorithm so in hopes of being able to make money or take care of my rescues and help other people I then promote these videos because it must be satisfying to people to watch it i e like a pimple popping video. So to answer your question of how often they shed it's probably once or twice a year depends juveniles as they're growing might be three four times in a year it depends how much they're growing but once they're full grown maybe once a year full body shed but they don't always shed all at once... either way thanks for the question and in the wild they can get most of it off because they can dig more but in captivity you don't want them to have loose substrate because if they eat it they can get impacted bowels so I generally help them with the areas when I see them rubbing their face on things and have the possibility of getting something in their eye or hurting themselves to get it off

My boss's name was Maribel. 😉. I got to know and like Juana. She seemed to like me too. I discovered if I gently messaged the circular ear pad, she would relax and fall asleep. 😃🦎

im not sure because these are both rescues. i dont think he is a "fancy" (as the petstore calls them) my only suggestion is to make sure you have good lights and dust all good with calcium and that helps to make there colors more bright 🌞 any questions lmk

I read somewhere that they instinctively eat their dead skin because in the wild, that would eliminate the chance of a predator finding it and knowing that it is somewhere nearby.
You should never pick off their skin as it can cause infection!!! If your bearded dragon is shedding then they should be bathed everyday to help with this. Loose bits can be removed but stuck shed should never be pulled like in this video as you can see the beardie is uncomfortable

It would be cruel to allow the dragon to scratch his body continuously to remove the shed. This guy gives the best care possible to his dragons.
