For us snow winter riders, a removable battery is critical feature to have. Nice bike though, reminds me of a Transition Relay suspension ( I love Horst link bikes)
Yeah, it seems there are fewer detachable battery bikes being launched now. And also, the rear frames seem to be getting narrower, so some bikes won't take the biggest studded tyres anymore, like the Fat Freddie 3" and Piikkisika 2.8.
It's been years since I last rode the Specialized Rx motor, so I don't really remember. But I think the other answers you got are correct. They're both silent when coasting, but the Bosch could be a tad noisier under load.
The bike does seem over priced for what it is in this build. You are basically paying for wireless shifting, carbon wheels (although with lifetime warranty), and top of the line suspension. I'm considering this bike, but in a less expensive build. Maybe do incremental component upgrades later if I feel they are needed. A less expensive derailer and cassette seems like a better choice since odds are high you'll have to replace due to wear or damage. I'm not doing bike parks either so doubt I'm going to need the top of the line Fox suspension.
Yeah, I would consider one of the entry builds myself. But I can't help to think the lighter Reserve wheel is having an impact on the riding experience. But it doesn't have to be Reserve, there are cheaper light wheels out there.
Thanks for the review! Great to watch and listen
Yup, that bike looks really sweet !!! Thanks for your honesty .

Thank's for the review! Can you tell me if the motor is louder then the brose motor in the specialized levo?
The new Bosh is supposedly really quiet no ratteling and overall low noise while under load
It is definitely a little louder than a the current Brose in the Levo.

How does it compare to the Heckler SL ?
I haven't had the chance to ride the Heckler SL yet. I've heard good things about that bike, but it would take something special to beat the Vala.
