I think there that having balance is very important. With the commons, it will take time as you are waiting for the right buyer to come along to buy it. I feel that the stars help keep things moving in terms of sales. I found that when I start listing a lot of commons, then my sales start to slow down a bit as I tend to list more commons than stars. So I always try to focus on having that balance.
It’s harder for those of us who don’t have a Burbank Sports Cards nearby. Around here, the dollar bins are either picked clean or the stores know what they’ve got and price their bins accordingly (making flipping for even 1¢ profit fraught. Not impossible, but certainly an issue.
Whatnot bro I've averaging about 350 a month my whole inventory come from what not get lots for 5 and under really paying 40 cents a card I rarely go to shops anymore because of 5he reasons you mentioned
That is true, Mike. Not everyone has access to these types of things. But it is still possible to be successful, one has to just find other ways. For some, a lot of online marketplaces may be an avenue to explore.
@@Yo_AB_Breaks sales of more than one card and eBay Standard Envelope. Without ESE, my business model would have to change completely and it wouldn’t be pretty.
I started off selling my rookies, star parallels, graded, autos. Then I watch SportsCenter or scan ESPN on the web and see who had a good game that day and listed their cards. Also top rookies getting called up. I put multi-card lots for teams that are in playoffs or are having a good season.
Hi Coach! I mainly use buy it now. I haven't ran an auction in such a long time. It really depends on what one is comfortable in using or based on preference. Thanks for the sub and I am glad you are enjoying the content!
I sell live here on youtube and I've always thought of trying ebay for it freaks me out for some reason. Most of my cards are $1-$5 with some exceptions. Also I loved seeing the Jeters in this video as he is my favorite player and I have over 1700 of his cards.
Hey Crafty, I also don't sell on Ebay, I am only a buyer and can find some awesome deals, mostly when auctions end at odd times when fewest people are on ebay looking.
You can definitely find some great deals on eBay - especially during odd hours as mentioned. eBay may not be for everyone. The beauty of the internet is that there are so many different options out there. It's whatever you are most comfortable with. However, that's also not to say do not try out other avenues. Just gotta find what works for you.
Still trying to figure out how to move my Commons😂 I'm slow-moving cards do you have a preference how you list them, by now option or 10-day auction? I'm trying everything I can come up with a formula! One thing is for sure though I love your videos you continue to give me hope 🙂
I've always ran buy it nows. I haven't ran an auction in such a long time. The commons are going to be hard to sell as they are very slow movers. What some people have done, is bundle up the commons into lots by sets. I've seen people who do this as "starter sets" for those who are set builders. I've seen these ran as either buy it now or auctions. Also there is variation listings in which you can list multiple cards in one lisitng. I'm not too familiar with this as I have not done one of these before, but it is an option. Thanks for watching the videos, I really appreciate it! You'll get there!
I agree. I need to get more stars listed.

Definitely agree with what you said, that being said the key really is consistency! You can’t stop and must keep going.
Gotta keep moving for sure. Slow motion is better than no motion.
Definitely agree with you! Rolling into higher quality cards is super important - Great video!
Thank you, Vincent! It's also a nice way to scale up too.
The gem you dropped is having a strategic approach to this

Hey! That's great to hear Brad. Glad my videos are helping!
Good advice, Josh. Thank you.
Thanks Andrew! My apologies for the late reply! Finally have some time to sit down and reply to all my comments.
Love the videos. Just found you on TH-cam and subscribed. When selling low end sports cards do you do the bidding process or buy now?
