thanks uuu, ummmm 2 things rly, it could be the microphone has some kinda filter on it but I doubt that- or it might be that ur using a different mic from the one u originally used. For example I’ll be recording a video but instead of my headset’s mic it’ll be picking up my mic all the way back in my desktop

Third person??… hm not exactly but you could makeshift a 3prsn by positioning the camera above you and have it follow you (default setting) Fun fact though I will tell you this, some worlds in desktop actually provide you with perspectives, n it’s pretty cool bc u get to see the avi

so u can, the headset itself has a mic or some headsets have ports for audio but i suggest checking your audio inputs in OBS to see if youre using the right mic
@@poiuyo7206 no its okay, in OBS theres a middle section that says desktop audio and mic/aux. in the mic aux section there is a cogwheel icon that you click and then click properties in that device panel youll pick out which mic you want the recording will hear
if you mean stream your avatar self from desktop and play a different game on stream, I believe that might be more of a Vtuber sort of setup which I’m not familiar with :(
My one only hope was the desktop camera so I can just record in another account cause I have a quest and can’t connect it to my PC but now you say it don’t work on desktop *cries*
Can someone help me, So I successfully record myself like there's a camera in front of me, but there's no Audio. My Oculus is connected to PC and I play in Steam there, so my Oculus should be my Mic when speaking but it doesnt record it. How to fix this. Thank you.
when ur in game, view your obs overlay and in the bottom panel, it should be the mix/aux. right click for properties and set it to the headset mic and u will see if it works if the light blinks green.

It’s a bit funky sometimes, but the same blue lazer you use to aim for your menu is how to press it, just click your controller button to indicate which hand you want it on
Somewhere in settings your videos after finishing the recording should be set to something like .mp4 which is a video format which will be saved somewhere in your computer, I have mine set to .mkv
it’s not really connecting the vr to obs, it’s using game capture/ specific window so that obs knows which screen you want to record If you’re using a headset that’s connected to your pc then it should be set, plus make sure your input output audio is set both to your headset option If you’re using a quest without link then I believe you have to use something like virtual desktop to see your pc screen and set things up there. Though I’m not too sure about base quest users

you can make just pictures in vrchat on desktop. now i'm not sure about streamer cam though...

I believe what you're looking for is the "anchor" option, which allows you to attach it to your avi

obs audio input/output, it’s like in the center bottom, or just settings search for audio, I believe output should be set to the headset being used

Check ur mic/aux input to see if the mic u got on is the correct one, and if it is check the audio output to the right headset jus to be sure
