Fatigue is the gradual and localized structural damage that occurs when a structure is subjected to cyclic loading. It is often cited as the most common form of mechanical failure in structures, and occurs at relatively low stresses. The goal of running a fatigue analysis is to estimate the durability of a structure under operating conditions over its life.
