Cute fun game, not a super hard LNNN maybe but SO MANY THINGS CAN KILL YOU ;_;
Everything has a little bit of danger in it and I find it hard to focus 100% on a 30 minute run the whole time. So I think this game kind of struck a weak spot with me there on that regard.
In the end, it became more of a focus/motivation struggle than a skill one honestly. Some of my best survival runs were when I just started playing UFO again because everything was refreshing and fun again. That feel kinda dwindled later on and it made especially stages 2 and 4 more painful than they should have been.
Shou is maybe the most obnoxious and dangerous stage 5 boss I yet had to face. Only sakuya could maybe be a little harder.
Hijiri is not that bad. Just have to practice her a lot, there's a lot to learn on her and once you learned most of it she's not super bad. Hell, Shou might be harder.
Anyways I don't really feel like writing a huge description so I'm just gonna leave it with these little thought bubbles lol. I do have a txt file with some of my strats in the links below that might be fun to read idk.

I agree with Yats about Shou. Even on Easy, she's still quite hard for a beginner/intermediate player like me , though on Easy and Normal at least, I think I disagree about her being harder than Byakuren.
But I'll be damned if she isn't a large chunk of the most anti-fun shit I've ever seen in this entire franchise. Curvy lasers, the character. I swear that some of her attacks can just screw me over if I'm in the wrong spot when a volley of lasers starts, and that Spell Card with the rotating green bar that smears you across the stage no matter what you do can go straight to hell. To be fair, I've never Game Over'd to Shou, but she always sets me up so that if I _do_ die, its to choking the run on Byakuren's last or second-last Spell Card.
At least Byakuren herself is a great final boss IMO, I think that if she was as bad as Shou for me I would loathe this game rather than enjoy it

I've used to enjoy playing this -Newgrounds flash- game -on my Game Boy- as a kid. Good times where I had to succeed with my own mind and skills. Back then, we didn't have those gacha games on smartphones.
I like how you always wait really long before you select an option in any menu. Anyways, great run. I even watched it live. (That's why I can say stuff about the run even though this video was uploaded like 10 seconds ago)

By the way, do you think it makes a big difference in difficulty to dodge Milky Way close to Byakuren instead of away from her?
I always dodge it near the bottom, with some consistency, and I find that the lasers are somewhat easy to read once you learn their trajectories.
Middle of screen tends to work better for most. You get less lasers I think.
Anyways this run wouldn't be a great example for that since the RNG I got on milky way on this run was abysmal.

Rudolf le Conquérant Not really, EoSD has really hard patterns for this. I'd say UFO LNNN is more comparable to SA LNN but... with harder stuff.

Try touhou 6 or 7 first. 8 is easier but 6 or 7 first for better experience...
+Irvan Maulana is 8 easier? I always found 7 and 10 the easiest, maybe because the spells are easier to learn and in 10 you can spam bombs constantly
idk though, I guess you can continue more with 8
@@DrJohn-ip3be if you use sakuyaA on 7, it is the easiest game so far. you can spam bomb much more than MoF.
Stsrt with either 7, 8, 10, 13, 14, 16 or 18
6 is kind of mediocre and doesn't have many of the features that make future games comfier to play so i'd recommend not touching that one
If you like your sanity don't start with 9, 11, 12, 15, 17 or 19.
