- The brand new Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood has opened for technical rehearsals. Enjoy this full ride POV and queue with AR Augmented Reality at the brand new Universal Studios Attraction inside of Super Nintendo World.
Unfortunately, this ride can not be done justice through a POV. Even with as much as we pride ourselves in our POV's, bringing you as close as we can to the parks, this one simply can't be done. It is so good in person, that we simply just can't replicate it. For that, I am sorry but I am also grateful that we live in a world where such a beautiful attraction exists. GO RIDE IT.
Nintendo World is in technical rehearsal and will officially open to the public on February 17th. This means that the ride may or may not be open on your next trip to the theme park if you go before the official grand opening!
The only way to guarantee riding this new attraction is coming to the park on February 17th 2022 when the ride opens!

This POV does a better job of conveying the intersection of AR and physical sets better than most online I’ve seen
i tried thank you! i’m still learning how to film this ride and I think a better one will come within the next week or so but so far so good

WOW! Great job capturing the madness with the AR Goggles! I'm guessing that when strapped to your head the AR images are more steady cause they match your motion better?

You’re definitely right about saying that POV’s don’t do that ride justice. You have to be there to be fully immersed into the experience, even though I haven’t experienced it yet. With AR I’d rate it 7 out of 10, without the AR I’d rate it 9/10 out of 10

Yesss!! This POV is definitely better than the ones I’ve seen for the ride in Japan! Awesome job! That ride is on steroids lol, but looks amazing! I can’t wait to ride it! I would say it’s an 8
it begins as an 8 but gets better with every ride. I moved it to a 9 after my 3rd ride.

I have a feeling the simulation of speed is better represented with the AR goggles on.

I love this ride like I’m about to go to Universal Studios Hollywood this Thursday which is exciting can’t wait and I think the Mario kart ride is a1000/100 because it looks fun and looks cool at the same time it amazing of how it looks and it’s just exciting can’t wait to be there

Looks cool.lokked like a long walk to the ride but interesting unless the walk was part of the ride ? Where did the blonde lady go though she was literally in front of you laughing at the guy dressed as Mario when ya started and the next shot was sone guy in front in a puffer jacket lol was funny did she cut the line lol

Btw any idea what stuff determines wether team Bowser wins? Like is it just the overall score of both vehicles or does the coin collecting, accuracy of shots or something else matter?

It would have been better If it was a Vekoma/Intamin dueling family multi-launch indoor coaster.
Genuine question: after youve rode it a handful of times now, do u wish it was faster or do you thk its the right speed

Great video. Man, this does not look fun to me though. I’m sick of the trend of everything being a screen. Give me real, physical rides like Pirates or Haunted Mansion. All this AR/3D glasses stuff is awful.
Watch a video of it without AR, it is all physical sets and animatronics with a few screens here and there
