This elegantly complex and creative “Hitomi design”, coupled with the explanation and application of floral rationale and theory is a teaching treasure. It is so rare to have a conceptional approach to design and application. What a delight to see you assess and review your own work. Hopefully you arrived at a conclusion of outstanding excellence in meeting your goals!!
I really appreciate the way you explained the color flow and use of the colors and the purpose of the pampas grass and halla. Thank you for this teaching moment and the gorgeous arrangement❤️❤️❤️
Now that I've finally had a chance to sit and watch some of your videos, you know I'm going to have to make the time to use the "useless" items I've collected that I thought might be cool to do something with. You are always so inspiring. Thank you so much for sharing and so giving of yourself and knowledge. ❤️ I think I have a new challenge now thanks to you. Just to do something every day. Do you keep notebooks of your ideas? I have so many ideas at any given time of day and remember to write/draw them out sometimes.
Hello April. Thanks for watching! Actually, we will be announcing a new virtual design class focusing on color in mid -October. Keep a look out on my instagram. Xxx💚
Hi Hitomi, Do you think that for some designers the elements of design are somewhat intuitive? I can visualize an arrangement in completion in a holographic instant, and begin working. I laugh at the left side of my brain for repeating things that my right brain has already thought about. Thank you so much. I enjoy your head, heart and spirit approach to design. Love and respect.
I had great success winning design competitions before I ever had floral education, before I had ever heard of Elements and Principles of Design. While I designed well, I could never articulate the WHY’s, couldn’t really explain what made the design attractive. Yes, of course a lot of it is intuitive... but as good a designer as one might be... you couldn’t effectively teach it without the fundamentals. My job is to help people understand the reasons some designs are great and the WHYs and why some designs fall short snd HOW it can be improved. Xxx

Hi Hitomi,
Do you think that for some designers the elements of design are somewhat intuitive?
I can visualize an arrangement in completion in a holographic instant, and begin working. I laugh at the left side of my brain for repeating things that my right brain has already thought about.
