Jumbo PRAWN Noodles!!! Early Morning Street Side Breakfast + Central Vietnam Noodles | Food Vlog

- Alright, this early vlog started off with Xoi Ga, a sticky rice and chicken dish, but it was absolutely loaded with other goodies in there as well. The people running this stall were awesome as they were extremely friendly and their dish is tasty and really cheap!
Next, I went for a famous Vientamese noodle, Mi Quang. I feel like many people do not eat this noodle, but they definitely should. Just a textural sensation as it is loaded in with pork, seafood, and other various ingredients.
Lastly, I went for some banh canh noodles that had some impressive amounts of seafood in them! They weren't my favorite from the day, but I will say, the massive prawn is something I could enjoy every single day.
Oh and not to forget some shaved ice to cool myself off from all the heat we are having in Vietnam.

your breakfast looks great! so many things in it, love sticky rice and ovals and Vietnamese Coffee! and yes that's a giant prawn, we had that similar prawn quite a lot in Indonesia too, so good! so curious with the Siro Da Bao, looks super refreshing, hoping we could visit Vietnam one day and eat all the local street foods!

Wow that Mi Quang dish looked fabulous, I love the thick noodles and all the herbs 😍 you ate well Max,looks fantastic
The brown eggs are cooked with fish sauce and sugar, not soy sauce. The yellow eggs are undeveloped eggs. way too much meat and eggs compared to rice....kinda nasty looking. The next meal really looks nasty and nothing like the real Mi Quang from Quang Nam Provence. The pork cake is Cha Lua Tieu Den (with black pepper. It's not common to ask for more broth as its normally a very dry noodle dish much like Cao Lau. Banh Canh can be thick or thin. again it's loaded with meat and seafood, seems these places are trying to attract business buy trying to innovate by adding more instead of creating new twists. 18 years living there and owning over 15 restaurants ive never seen these dishes done like this.....keep looking Max! glad you love Vietnam.

Those round egg things are unborn chicken ovaries. Usually, they are used in chicken congee soups. Sometimes they are served with Hainan chicken plates. They come from inside of hens of course...they taste better in soups when they are moist.

I think the hole in the shirt adds character! haha. Your contagious smile is the only thing we notice anyway 😉 What I love about Vietnamese food is the complex and different mixture of textures and flavors. You get sweet, salty, crunchy, sour, and so on. Your tastebuds are always guessing!!! 😋

Max, you should wander out every morning to try new places so you can narrow down all your favorite gems and let us know. Just curious, but how are you going to go back to eating cereal or pop tarts for breakfast after Vietnam? LOL! BTW, you're Vietnamese is getting better. Just go practice it with a bunch of Vietnamese people as they like practicing English with Americans. I noticed Dustin's Vietnamese is sooo good now. The way he speaks and his tone has went up 100%! I mean, Phuc Map knows a lot of words but his speech pattern is a bit robotic and his tonation needs work, but Dustin's got the accent and tone down, for sure. So I know you can do it, too! :)

Hey Max, when you get back to Arkansas, maybe you can do a piece on the journey many refugees had to take through Fort Chaffee in 1975. You can ask around for Viet Kieus and capture their experience, I'm sure you're always looking for ideas. Would be cool to see some personal pics that some people have that's not public. I know I had a great experience there.

I've been living in Hai Ba Trung st, district 3 over 23 years before moving to Sacramento. The ice shaved siro is so good and gets along with my childhood. Every time I go back to Vietnam, I always visit this place.
Love that Xoi Ga! I have to try it the next time I'm in VN. BTW, the chewy chicken is what Vietnamese people love. It's a denser meat. It's not the overly soft/mushy steroid grown chicken meat in the US.

Max, the "pink church" is Tan Dinh Cathedral. That's on District 3 side of Hai Ba Trung street. The shaved ice stall you stopped by been there for years. 35 years ago, my friends and I used to go there after school for refreshment. Back then, the stall was run by her father, whom we called Uncle Hoa.... so much sweet memory. Thank you Max!

That alarm gives me nightmares lol! Had to change that before it gave me the night terrors 🥴 you need to do shirt of the day. First up white broth splattered shirt followed by hole in red shirt :)) btw those soft eggs are removed from the chicken before they turn into eggs with a shell! Popular in chicken curry with blood cake.
