UPDATE: New drifting physics! - OverDrift Festival

- New drift physics update in OverDrift Festival is a huge improvement for steering wheel players. I am drifting my red BMW E36 with very minimal tuning upgrades. The steering wheel used in this gameplay is Thrustmaster T300RS GT. Did couple of tandems in a mall parking lot with other random players. Desync and game optimization are certainly the next more important things that need to be improved. Glad that they are updating the game and I understand that OverDrift Festival is still in Beta state.

The part that we don't have race games is just sad, every game focused in drift we have is a indie one and the other ones (like AC and FH) aren't even focused on drift. Imagine how could it'd be if we had at least a official Formula Drift game with licensed cars and stuff.
the closest game we have to that is torque drift
I completely agree, if there would be a drift game with fd cars, customisable cars, an open world map and separate fd tracks, they would be millionaires

TorqueDrift is official Formula Drift game. But wheel support is very difficult to learn and very unrealistic. Great for gamepad though.

What I really want is a new 3rd person camera angle where the camera isn’t just stuck to the rear bumper in assetto corsa their is mods to change that and carx has in my opinion the best 3rd person camera angle where you see the car go more sideways and makes it feel more satisfying
There are different 3rd person views in this game, more loose version as well but I do not prefer it

MASSIVE RESPECT! A game that’s not about racing people only online, a game that actually has developers who follow up with their game, and a game that has a buy and play model without pay to progress crap!! Now throw mod support it and this is an amazing game. Heck it’s amazing already by just those few things! But I will say I hope they fix it for dd wheels! I am an owner of one and too many games just pass by dd wheels..

@@Goosiest true. I was passing this game up but your update showing how the devs are listening it has given me hope. I’m still not interested personally in paying the money yet while I’m still enjoying car x that has it all but the open world here with proper DD support I would be in. Issue is most players for this game don’t own DD wheels so there’s a chance they pass us right up when the majority loves it on their wheel.

I were drifting on gamepad since Forza Horizon 4 (and before that I unsuccessfully tried in BeamNG) and I dreamed about a wheel. Goosie, I recently started watching a lot of your videos and... I ordered same wheel you have (and shifter but no handbrake) cause I fell in love in drifting even more because od your videos. I got hyped. It arrived yesterday and I am blowup. It is hella hard. I'm trying in FH5. I won't gave up cause I love it. Now I'm thinking about that over drift festiwal. I think asseto corsa might be too hard for me and I don't like csrx that it were originally mobile game. That overdrift festiwal seems interesting.

carx used to be a mobile game but that doesn’t mean the physics are bad. Definitely frustrating at first though lol

They need to fix clutch to dis-engage at the bottom of the pedal , not the very top of the pedal. Car should have a bit of play with direction when the car is going straight. Wheel self centering is too strong.
