I love just how much of Disgaea 2 is told through subtext. Especially in the final chapters. Rozalin’s true identity, Adell actually being a demon. One of the only true demons in all of veldime in fact. The revelation of how Adell really feels about Rozalin. The way both of them have their preconceived notions of the world shattered. This game really does have one of the series best stories, especially since it actually built off of 1 and tried to keep the events of that game canon.
Totally agree with this, 2 is the best of the series by far. 1,3 and 4 all have a lot going for them in terms of story and 5 has the best gameplay, but 2 has the best story and just… feel by far.
