I really haven’t watched Jiedel or 2hype in years(due to the drama), but this was actually a unique draft that could very well happen. Love the plentiful amount of bold takes by Jiedel(especially Taylor Detroit).

As a DET fan I like Hendrix, but you’d need to move down. I’m not taking him at 5. If they stay at 5 I and it goes “chalk” (Wemby/Scoot/BM/Amen in some order) I feel like you have to take Cam Whitmore. 6”6 w/o shoes so that’s like 6”7.25-6”7.5 w shoes, and 235lbs, so GREAT size for a super young SF. That’s a grown man body. 41in vertical, v fast in Lane Agility drill which is my favorite drill of the 3 as it shows quickness in many diff ways that are important for perimeter defense. He also gives DET that rim pressure that’ll compliment Cade and Ivey, and I believe he will be a very good C&S 3P shooter. Not sure about off the bounce, but C&S I think he will be v good. His lack of passing worries me, but w him playing off of Cade/Ivey…and even Duren is a good passer for a CRAZY young C of that size. (Not sure why Jidel sent a stray at Duren. Maybe on accident, bc he’s right, guys like Bagley and Wiseman and Stew aren’t starters, and Bojan is old. Duren absolutely can be a very good starting C tho. He’s so far ahead of what I expected or someone sooo young and so raw w the athletic tools he has. I think Cam is the perfect marriage of need and BPA. Having Cade/Ivey/Cam/Duren as your 4 main building blocks is a very good start. If you LOVE Hendrix then move down and pickup an asset. I believe he will be there at 8, possibly 9-10…and you can pickup some kinda future 1st and still get Hendrix. But ya if Cam is at 5 I gotta take him. I did see a trade that was THJr, JaVale, and P10 for Bojan and 31. I think that’s ripping DAL off and would never happen. Bojan would be a good fit in DAL, but he’s prolly only got like 2 more years of being an 18+ PPG, like 40% 3P shooter on good volume. If he was a few years younger or was making like $14-$15M instead of 20 maybe, but yea no that’s not a good trade for DAL. Maybe if ATL just wants to get rid of Collins, that could be something. This is just a rough deal off the top of my head so cut me slack here. But Collins doesn’t have much value, ATL needs to shave $ for next yr when Dejounte gets paid and Onyeka is RFA etc. So maybe a deal where they send 15 and Collins to DAL for filler and 10 basically, then DAL moves whatever contracts they wanna get off of plus 15 for Bojan and 31. Maybe that’s Bertans and JaVale or whatever it may be. Bc if they could turn 10 in to Collins and Bojan, and maybe they’d be taking on a tiny bit extra this year, they’d be getting off of THJr’s $16.2M+ next year, Bertans $5M next year, JaVale’s $7M next year, etc. Bojan is basically an expiring, then Collins kinda evens it out. So they’d be able to have Hardy Kyrie Luka Green Bullock Bojan Kleber Collins which is a decent 8 for sure. Plus P31. Then if they have TMLE maybe can add one more solid guy, then a few minimums and that’s a solid team. Also allows for more flexibility next year and the year after while upgrading the team now. Collins is absolutely an upgrade on Wood defensively by a lot, and I truly believe this bad season had way more to do w injury and his environment he clearly didn’t want to be in than him. He’s still like an 18/8 guy who averages like a block (at the 4, it’ll be more at 5) and is a good FT shooter who gets to the line, can space the floor, rebound, be a pick and roll or pick and pop threat. You can play him w Kleber or sometimes with another traditional big depending, or even Bojan/Collins with Bullock Green and Luka when Kyrie is on the bench.

Yeah. He did the NBA combine, and some of his athletic tests (- height, hand size) were on par with the G League Elite Camp guys. He had the same lane agility as Caleb McConnell and not even a bottom five vertical.

KPJ’s stats were better than Green’s all across the board and he would be benched too in this scenario. I don’t believe we will give up on Green yet or any of our young talent but you can’t put continue to put a franchise player out their if someone else is better and I think that Amen is either definitely better or will be better in the future in my opinion. Also you have to find the right partner to trade with and receive adequate compensation. But I have changed my view now on who we should draft at 4 and it is Cam Whitmore. This would keep Green in the starting lineup with Harden in the backcourt if we can sign him. I hope we can get a PG at 20 preferably someone like JHS or Kobe Bufkin.

We can’t 1v0 footage to deter realism. In the hours of footage with Ignite, Scoot looked like a subpar shooter, and the stats support that argument.
