As a trans person can I just say the trans one pissed me off cuz that poor guy probably didn't even mean to say sir. I myself at times especially working retail called peeps sir/miss without even thinking and some times your brain defaults. Besides before hormones and op it's not always easy to tell if someone is trans, gender fluid or just a guy that loves to rock a dress. Trans people like this give us all a bad name, besides if being misgendered is your biggest problem in a day then #firstworldproblems
👏👏👏 Exactly! Very well said! I've both been called "sir" & called people "m'am" or "sir" & been mistaken...no biggie. That would be like someone freaking out cuz someone called you the wrong name. If that was the case me & my siblings would constantly be freaking out on our mom! 😂

EXACTLY. I’ve been a Makeup Artist and Stylist for years. I’ve worked for some of the biggest lines. I’ve got many gay and trans friends. We can only hope for mutual respect. Nobody’s gonna go through life and not get their feelings hurt occasionally. Everyone needs to knock off being over sensitive and a drama Queen.
I get misgendered sometimes but I laugh 😂 and say oh guess I'm a guy or girl today. :) Rather than get mad.

Really confused by the Planet Fitness clip. You can’t bring a water bottle into a gym? What gym promotes dehydration? That’s a lawsuit waiting to happen, and it’d probably be a slam dunk for the plaintiff.
I was amazed by this as well. So I looked up and it is not an individual gym rule as the woman stated it is actually a rule on their website that states that water bottles must fit into the water bottle holders on the equipment. I do not understand the rule but it a rule. I would imagine that most of the gyms do not enforce this rule going off what this man said in the video. It is probably one of those rules they pull out if they want to remove someone…
I learned you don't talk shit to fast food people before you get your food. As a taxi driver, picking up drunk people, I had to warn my customers of this. The fast food people can do anything to your food before you get it. Be courteous.

Someone corporate does listen when employee tyranny is on the video. I got both a Speedway employee and his manager fired for extreme negligence because Speedway as a company still actually cares about customers. They didn't declare this war, their employees did. And they made the one right around the corner from me clean house.

Nope. I have had my name come up like once a month in complaint calls. I get "talked to" and it's over. They can't afford to fire me. What other ways can I be "punished"? It literally only serves to get the complaint maker a coupon or some shit in the mail, otherwise, don't bother.

My firm belief is that my generation (boomers) laid the groundwork for this behavior. We started the "customer is always right" mentality. We never imagined that such rude people would ever come out of this policy. These are people who think they are right no matter how they behave. We have to untrain people in the service industries. Managers need to step in faster and be given the power to tell someone "we don't want your business if this is how you are going to treat our valued employees."

In my experience, "boomers" are actually some of the worst for using "the customer is always right" as an excuse for treating company employees like shit. They're also the ones that passed down that mentality to their children, leading to the stupidity we see today.

If they misinterpret a gender, all you need to do is correct them right that moment...not make such an ugly scene. Those employees were not harassing you, Sir/Ma'am. They were polite young people! Anytime I’ve ever paid for anything in change I’d have it counted out and separated before hand to make it easier for ME to count it out in front of the cashier. “Customer Service” doesn’t mean you accept people trying to belittle you.

Furthermore, fast food places have to act fast, and almost all the time the restaurant is understaffed, overworked and underpaid. When i worked at a fast food place we had to get the food out within 2 minutes of them getting to the window. She probably got sick of the machines not working, the lines backed up all the way into the aisles, the employees who are clueless about where things are even in their own department, or their being out of almost everything. I totally understand where she's coming from. Trust me on this, this company knows they have a monopoly in many places. The crooks who run the company engineered this decades ago and ran everyone else out of business. My town isn't all that small, 25,000, but it's still either there or Kroger's if you stay in town, and our Kroger's just drank the cashless Kool-Aid, so I won't shop there at all. I won't help give the banks absolute power. When I grew up, my town was half the size it is now and had no fewer than six full service grocery stores. I remember actual free market competition. I realize the zombie employees are a symptom and not the cause, but still....

You can never find anyone to help you there. It’s always a mess. My 11 year old don’t like Walmart. I personally work in a food industry and I know how hard it is when you are understaffed and you have customers screaming at you.

I work in law enforcement and the video of the family funeral is unbelievable. I would love to know what they said to the operator to get the police to show up. I would do anything to be on that call and then find out the reason was there was a funeral and one of the limousines was parked in front of their house not their driveway but their house. The things I would say to those homeowners first I would tell them A Street is public even if it's in front of your home anyone with a valid registration can park their vehicle there. And if they used the 911 system and said there was some kind of emergency to get me there I would type them for filing a false charge. I don't care if these two neighbors do not get along I see that a lot but they're burying their father have an ounce of respect for their loss.
I saw another neighbor video where the caller complained because a neighbor's upstairs window blind was constantly slightly up and made them uneasy.
If you believe with an absolute conviction that you are a woman, then why would someone calling you “sir” offend you? I firmly believe I am a man, and if someone called me “ma’am” or “miss” I would just stare blankly at them, surprised, but not insulted, then I’d just go on my way. I know I’m a man just as much as I know the sky is blue, why should someone else’s delusion about it upset me

Hi trans person here, the person screaming at the fast food workers about their pronouns was WAYYY out of line. No matter the situation, they should've just corrected them saying "I'm not a sir, I'm a ma'am" (if that's their identity)
