Bahraini Winfred Yavi's Golden Run | World Athletics Championships | 2023

Winfred Yavi is a Kenyan-born Bahraini female athlete who specializes in the 3000 metres steeplechase. She is currently training in Bahrain, where she is sponsored by the Bahrain Athletics Association.
Yavi moved to Bahrain in 2019 after being offered a scholarship to train there. She has since become one of the top steeplechasers in the world, winning gold medals at the 2019 Asian Games and the 2023 World Athletics Championships.
Yavi is currently training for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. She is hoping to win Bahrain's first gold medal in athletics at the Olympics.
