Adventurous sims get negative moodlets from having quick meals and a positive reaction to gourmet meals and love trying new foods. Proper sims also have a great deal of loyalty to their jobs and don't like changing careers. They get happy moodlets when promoted because of this and can become tense if they switch careers.
I think loyal sims also prefer not to switch careers. Or partners. I know for sure they also get a happy moodlet from promotion for that too though! Huh. Proper and Loyal are kind of similar in the career area.
Edit: I forgot what a quick meal in game was 😂 it actually makes sense, my bad, I got confused Old comment, not relevant anymore: Why would an adventurous sim get a negative moodlet after eating a quick meal? If you are hiking you usually eat a ham sandwich, not a gourmet lobster
Another thing about Unflirty sims is that you can flirt with them and even build up a romantic relationship with them, it just takes a really high friendship level first. It's part of why I love the update that came with High School Years where you can edit sims' romantic and woohoo interests; now I can *actually* have an aromantic/asexual sim!
Green Fiends also get an Embarrassed moodlet when they're bills come in, especially if they aren't doing anything to mitigate them like have generators or solar panels. Also, Recycle Disciples will randomly "recycle" items from their own household if they haven't recycled for a while and have had a tense moodlet from recycling for a bit. You really need to watch them.
Fun fact about Maker Sims: they also get a happy moodlet when finishing a knitted item. I haven't tested cross-stitiching yet but knitting definitely counts. I had a sim who was a Maker but I was doing rags to riches with her and we were making money by selling things on Plopsy so that's how I discovered it. Nice cross-pack compatability with that one, imo.
Nice vid as always! I love the "High maintenance" trait. It's really hilarious. 🤣 I may add things for 2 trait. Sims with "Adventurous" trait will get bored if eat quick meal and be inspired if eat gourmet cooking meals. They also get bored when do things they have very high skills. Sims with "Proper" trait will get angry if they're in a house with no shoes rule and see someone wearing shoes. It might happen to another occasion as seeing Sims naked, I'm not sure. Thank you for the vid!
Just thought to say, the "interact with animals" task (or whatever it actually is) from the pet aspiration from Cats and Dogs can be progressed via interacting with dolphins from Island Living.
Well... I made a high maintenance Sim one time. Let's just say I did not know that there were different levels of anger and that Sims could die from it. I thought letting him rest or take a relaxing bath would help him "calm down." T'was not to be. My heart sank when he dropped dead in his hallway. My bad! Needless to say, I have never made a "high maintenance" Sim again. 😅🤦🏾♀️
lactose intolerent should not even be a trait, it is a medical condition. Other then that I love your videos so fun and upbeat, plus informative even as I know some things already.
@@DREAMINDIGOwith growing together you can have up to 6 traits I think which I love!! Bc I can choose three that actually align with the personality of my sim rather than how useful it is
@@DREAMINDIGOyou get three extra traits only from interactions though, i managed to get active, neat, perfectionist, cheerful and animal/dog/cat lovers relatively easily but idk how to achieve the rest (like id love for lact intolerant and veganism to be extra minor traits that i could get without taking up my manually chosen ones, wonder how itll work)
I love the Dance Machine trait because with the Disco Nap, you only need to nap twice (not even a full nap for the second nap sometimes) and it'll fill up your energy need faster than regular sleep. If you have a +10 Energy bed with Massage Controls and the Mattress upgrade, it's SO fast
Thank you Petey for the video! It helps me a lot when I need to choose the traits, especially when I have to choose between apparently similar traits (Overachiever vs Ambitious, Socially Awkward vs Loner, Evil vs Mean, etcetera)
I consider traits like those complementary traits, traits that have a similar theme but different ways of going about it. I really find sims with two similar traits to be a lot of fun compaired to 3 decently different traits. Others i enjoy are Animal Enthusiast & Rancher, Goofball & Cringe, as well as Proper & Snob.
@@Fighting.Flower I love playing like this! The only reason why I force myself to choose is because I tend to overdo it or because I really like two other traits and have only one slot left
The party animal trait is used by both Noah Kane and Liam Beckett who are both male sims who also function as pranksters. Adding a female party animal to the pack would be a great idea, especially someone who is emo.
One thing I've noticed about cat lovers and dog lovers is that, unplayed Sims, with neighborhood stories turned on, will just fill their house up with cats or dogs.
Does quick-fire have a different meaning somewhere else? I'm from America & these titles confuse me be every time. "39 highly flammable trait tips" is absolutely confusing. Do you mean hot?
Amanda :), apologies maybe it's because I'm from Australia, I'm not sure. But in my mind quick-fire just means 'rapid' ahaha, like these tips will go by quickly! Sorry for any confusion!
Child of the Ocean sims also get a sad moodlet when there’s mounted fish on the wall that’ll say “Noooo, Fish Friend!”
And eating food with fish makes you sad
thats only for mermaids i thought?
Lactose Intolerant Sims can also click on Dairy items and can “Wonder if it’s Worth it”. As someone who is lactose intolerant, it’s pretty accurate.
I specifically was looking for a 'lactose intolerant' comment. I have many lactose intolerant friends and they see that as a /challenge/.

It was so annoying before when your apparent aromantic sims would get partners like the trait is there to prevent that!!
Ooh thank you so much for sharing this info TokitoTaishiro! :D

I didn't know Freegans can unspoil food. What an Intersting concept.

Ooh thank you so much for sharing these awesome added bits of information Saipirun! Super helpful :D
Another fun fact: Overachievers also get an Energized +3 moodlet when they max a skill.
That's heaps cool! Thank you for sharing Planetary Cube :D.
“Irrational hatred of the sun” sounds like a reward store trait you could give a vampire…but I don’t know what it would do in that context
My very first vampire I made and built up her abilities/powers incidentally gave her the day phobia weakness but is fully immune to the sun perk lol
@@imtooboredtothinkofaname3245 that’s ironic, lol
god i wish i had spa day now, want to create an ultra snobby vampire who freaking despises the sun lmao

I have a snobby mermaid with the trait. It's great, haha! It fits her so well.

Been loving your videos on traits and what they come with. They've been really helpful for planning out my stories! Thank you!
Aww thank you Reading! I am so happy that you've enjoyed them. This makes me happy! :D
Same!! All his videos give me inspiration on how to flesh out my characters.
Sims with the Paranoid trait can also "frantically change passwords" when they're stationed at a computer.
Apparently Sims don't know what a VPN is.
Thank you for sharing that awesome fun fact Sage :D. Hope you've been well!
what do vpns and passwords have to do with eachother
My fiancée loved this video. Gave her ideas of what things do.
Ahahaha omg I should not laugh Sundiata but this sounds so chaotic and funny! It's a fun trait but it certainly comes with some risk!
Awesome videos- These help me play my sims to their specific differences much better giving them all character. You are my morning coffee Hero!
Awe shucks Elaina! Being called a morning coffee hero is such a compliment! :D Thank you!
Check if still fresh!! never knew that existed, hilarious that it actually works sometimes

This was extremely helpful! I will use some traits I have ignored in the past due to your explanations! - Thank you!!
Love these kind of videos - such great little details in game.
The unflirty trait gives me aromantic vibes and I’m here for it.
Proper sims will get angry if they saw someone wearing shoes indoor while shoes are not allowed

I agree, I am lactose intolerant and I would NEVER swap a trait slot with me pooping myself! Especially since we only have 3 slots
Well what else would it be?

@@PeteyPlaysIt yes I was a little under the weather but I'm well now thank you also I hope you have been fantastic as usual
Since I'm playing a Sim with the Overachiever Trait right now I also noticed it can give a +1 Focused Moodlet when "Preparing for Next Task"
so helpful
can you confirm Lactose Intolerant sims might receive a moodlet that they pooped their pants if they pass gas while their bladder is full?
