If you need more context for the video storyline: Telephone was actually the second chapter of a short film series made by Gaga and the director Jonas Akerlund. Paparazzi's music video was the first chapter, in which Gaga fatally poisoned her boyfriend after he tried to kill her and exploit her fame, she eventually got arrested for it. As you can see in the Telephone video, she got out of prison and kept poisoning people with her partner in crime Beyoncé and got away with it after escaping. A third chapter video is yet to be released. It was supposed to be Aura (a Gaga song contained in the Artpop album) but she never recorded it.
