Anytime Fury was active with his punches he was dominant. That being said there was a lot of time spent not throwing and he really wasn’t avoiding his opponents punches like he does against others. All in all I left that fight with two impressions about Fury. He’s a supremely talented boxer, and I’m relatively concerned about his overall situation right now cause he just seemed off and even a bit slow.
i watched the fight for a second time. the fight really wasnt close. the first time i watched it i gave wallin 2rounds. second time i watched it i gave wallin 1 round. it wasnt really a competitive fight, wallin was very fortunate that he opened a huge gash on fury
Fury probably underestimated Wallin but Fury has incredible grit and heart, he won, but this fight took so much out of him, the rematch with Wilder is going to be a tighter contest.
Yeah early rounds were a toss up. That cut changed Tyson's gameplan for the rest of the fight. They both were going for guillotines and hooks to the in the 5th round. 6th round wallin trying to thumb the cut and punch at fury after the ref split them up. That was definitely bad mannered. Tyson pretty much controlled the rest of the fight by doing a lot of infighting, hooks and uppercuts. Small punches. His punches had a lot more weight behind them, Wallin was mostly just defending. There was a moment where Wallin caught fury in the 12th round, but Fury gathered himself fine. Wallin had a lot of bruises and welts to show for it. He had heart to stay in there. It would have been a lot closer if he actually tried exchanging blows more often in the 7-11th rounds. Tyson won by a large margin, and I agree with the decision. The fight almost got stopped due to the cut though. That made the fight a lot more interesting.
Tysons cuts were the only issues in the fight because he was cut so early and stopping for medical reasons was all Tyson was worried about ..He completely out classed Wollin, The Last Round Fury got tired from beating the hell out of Wollin and trying to finish him, that was the closest Wollin came but great effort by the Underdog..To suggest Wollin won more than 3 or 4 rounds is ludicrous Chael lol
I think Chael is forgetting the early 2000s when Pac, Morales, Marquez, and Berrera where all fighting each other in straight wars. At the same time you had Oscar, Mosley, Trinidad, Wright, and Vargas all beating the shit out of each other. Those fights are the reason for 12 rounds. The higher weights may take rounds off because of stamina but from about 160 and down they can go 12 without much issue.
It really wasnt all that competitive, Wallin managed to open up really bad cuts which made Fury look like he had had the shit beaten out of him, when in reality Wallin won 4 rounds at most.

Chael..they dont have a weight limit in HW boxing
Tony Ferguson the type of guy to get in a fight with his shadow when his shadow boxing
i watched the fight for a second time. the fight really wasnt close. the first time i watched it i gave wallin 2rounds. second time i watched it i gave wallin 1 round. it wasnt really a competitive fight, wallin was very fortunate that he opened a huge gash on fury
A cut like that could cause anyone to lose to anyone, anyday.
Rob was Fury'd
Love your intrigues uncle Chael
Heavyweight boxing has no upper limit my man.
It was a punch, not a headbutt that caused the cut.
It really wasnt all that competitive, Wallin managed to open up really bad cuts which made Fury look like he had had the shit beaten out of him, when in reality Wallin won 4 rounds at most.
I haven't heard 1 word of criticism about the fact that Wallin blantantly thumbed the cut
We clearly saw the fight VERY differently
Fury showed proper fighting heart.. many a man would of quit.. NO quit in the Gypsy
Fury was robbed!
If Chael says that Wallin is 4th heavyweight in the world, then Wallin is the 4th heavyweight and you can’t do anything about it!
I had him winning 1, 3, 5, 12. He did good, but Fury won by a pretty good margin.
Yea! I'm with Tyson.
